I would avoid if possible. Sometimes the blink camera won't ring, I have missed deliveries as a result. The customer service is good but if they can't get the basic function of a doorbell right, I would go with another brand. The battery is horrible you have to buy a lithium battery or rechargeable lithium battery (with a certain capacity) to make it work. Otherwise you will get the low battery sign

Got energizer in mine and it's been fine

These get worse with every update.
Mine has stopped tracking activity at the door now. And the delay between the button press and app opening is ridiculous.

Good to know how is the battery life?

Do I have to pay a subscription for this or is it recorded onto the sync module?

They offer both. Subscription is faster in reaction. Sync module has around 5-10 seconds delay, but the videos are saved locally as long as you have a USB flash drive inserted into the sync module.

If you don’t need the Echo Pop, consider the set with the outdoor security camera bundle, since the sync module can pair with multiple Blink cameras.

Just removed a blink doorbell, and will be ebaying it shortly. Replaced with a Reolink (wifi)

I'd say for the money they are "fine" - does the job ok, and paired with the sync module (+ a USB storage key) gives you free recordings without a subscription. If you aren't able to run power to the doorbell location its still a fair choice.

However the camera quality isn't great - especially at night (compared to Ring Pro wired & Reolink wired doorbells). Notifications come through reasonably quick if the wifi signal strength is good, but it takes a good few seconds to connect to the doorbell video feed in response - by which time a visitor has often walked away.

Doesn't record any footage before the detection event - which can include important footage.
Batteries need replacing every so often (bit less than a year in my case, but its variable depending on the number of events it records) (edited)
