Are there any alternatives to the echo show 15 ?

I really like the idea of having a digital photo frame at the end of my breakfast bar to show pictures of the family. And then when I'm sitting down having some kind of swivel stand wall mounted to pull the display out and watch YouTube videos or something short whilst eating ...

But I'm kinda put off by some of the reviews and just the general lack of customisation on Amazon interface.

Is there anything better to get that is a similar form factor?

I'm no rush to buy, 270 seems way too expensive so will wait for the next prime sale anyways
