I really wanna pick up a cheap RC again just for the kids but its the batteries... they are usually a bit... suspect. Had a cheap hover thing before and the battery went spicy fairly quickly

Quite a bit more money than this but the FTX Tracer was a good purchase, I picked one up from Jadlam and it is enough to be good fun even for an adult but you can dial the speed down on the remote so kids can use too... My 4 year loves it as much as I do

They aren't super fast, but that might make it more suitable for youngsters, a lot of these small scale semi hobby grade RCs are ridiculously fast for their size and can be difficult to handle, especially for younger kids.

The comparatively tame performance will probably help with the battery life, too.

Is this the smallest size in this range. No idea how good this is. Hope my kid likes this.

Check the videos on Amazon. It’s a bit basic and slow. Motor is cheap. Fine for kids. Has a servo for steering so not bad. Be careful with those cheap lipo batteries.
