About this deal

unlimited data SIM is now half price for the first six months, bringing the cost down to just £17.50 a month.

Here's the catch: After six months, the price jumps back up to the standard rate for 18 months.

But: with recent price hikes everywhere, this could be a good way to save some cash in the short term. Plus, you get all the benefits of an unlimited data plan - no more worrying about going over your allowance!

Total cost £735 for 24 months seems expensive for sim only.

    Why is EE expensive?

They own most of the spectrum useful for 4G/5G services in the UK.

PLUS after first year you have a rise of Consumer Price Index rate of inflation + 3.9%.

I'd personally go with CMLink (And have done exactly that) £24 a month for the first 3 months then £30 Thereafter. Introductory offer isn't as good but works out way better in the long term.

Full access to the EE Signal, support for 5G, VoLTE, WiFi Calling. No speed restrictions.

But unlike EE Direct you get a 30 Day rolling contract, No annual price increases, free international calling to 12 countries as well as free roaming in the EU, Turkey, China and Hong Kong.

EE is not unlimited only 650gb then they start throttling and eventually stop the service until next month. I am stuck with 3 for home broadband which is fully unlimited,as BT refuse to connect the Fttp they cut off at the end of the driveway 2 years ago when they installed all the neighbours

Depends on the plan. In my case you lose access to 5G after 650GB but never get cut off or speed limited beyond that. Just 4G only from then onwards.

TalkMobile is owned by Vodafone and has £16 unlimited data contracts on a 30 day rolling basis. They have a FUP of 10TB.

Just to give you a few alternatives to Three if you’re looking for others.
