If you own a post 2017 Chromebook Google are offering 3 months priority GeForce Now membership for free as a perk.

If you own certain high end gaming Chromebook models you can upgrade this to 3 months ultimate GeForce Now membership for free.

GeForce Now is a service from NVIDIA which allows you to stream games you already own on a platform like Steam. You do need a fast internet connection for this to work well, but don't need a gaming device.

This means you could potentially play a high end game like Baldur's Gate 3 even if you don't own a gaming PC

Good perk - although GFN only supports a subset of games (because some publishers got greedy and want more money for 'streaming rights') it's probably the best cloud service because it streams your existing games that you already own on various digital platforms. They just provide a virtual machine to run them on, effectively.

They support Steam, Epic, Xbox Gamepass and Ubisoft stores.

My experience of using it has been very positive - pretty much indistinguishable from native play for most of the titles I play. The only things which might give a problem are competitive shooters where any kind of added lag is an issue.

(There is already a free tier to try the platform but apparently there can be large wait times and you are limited to 1 hour sessions at a time.)

Great offer, used the free tier before to play world of tanks.

Anyone know once you click the redeem button is that when the time starts to run? Or can you get a code you can activate at a later time?

Great, thanks for sharing, used this during lockdowns when it was still testing and it was excellent. Nvidia are generally a great company

Have the $5 a month original founders for 1080p and use to use it on a shield portable (still have it), now use it with steam deck. Sometimes play control with higher settings of GF Now (and save battery life ) and sometime locally installed on steam deck using steam sync to keep saves updated.

Also use it with a nearly Air for large screen gaming.

I’m a regular GFN subscriber playing Ubisoft games and CB2077 casually since Stadia went down at the beginning of the year (don’t get time for games these days). The £8 a month for Priority has been a great replacement for Stadia (although I miss 4K, Ultimate GFN is a bit too pricey) even with a fairly modest (66MB) connection. If you’re a casual gamer and can’t justify the high cost of a PC I think it’s a great service.
