I wouldn’t get these. The grey coating starts to chip off fairly quickly.

We have some of the door store ones and they’ve been fine with no damage in three years. Having said that, they don’t go in a dishwasher or have contact with anything else metallic. For the money, I think they’re great.

Does it come with a knife block or are you supposed to leave these in the cutlery drawer?

A knife block is not included

Well here goes a with a different view - we've had these for over a year, no chipping or flaking and with minimal maintenance they are still sharp. Like any sharp knife, we keep them away from metal objects, always use the sheath and never put them in the dishwasher. Have proven to be good, cheap knives.

We have these and they lost their sharpness relatively quickly.

Bought another set since from Costco (not sure on the brand - they were cheap) and they have been much better and cheaper than these

This brand has gone downhill hasn’t it or was it ever that good

It's a massively overrated brand imho.

Painted blades always end up look naff once the paint fades and chips. Ikea's 365+ range of knives are my goto. You can buy them individually, so you can mix and match what you actually use.

I have had this same set (but with a revolving holder + bread knife) since <looks at my Amazon> December 2017.

The grey stuff has come off on large portions of the more common knives I use; not that it really matters. They all remain solid and keep their edge for a fair time between sharpening. The rubber (colour bits between handle and blade) has started to deteriorate on some, but the lesser-used knives look like new ones.

A big mistake I have made over the years is putting them in the dishwasher; they lose their edge quickly, and that is likely the reason the grey and rubber have deteriorated.  I'm a tad carefree, but it is recommended you don't put any knives in the dishwasher.

£22 for this set is a bargin, in my opinion.  Shame it's store only, or I would be snapping up a set. (edited)

I have these, went blunt within days, I'd avoid.

these look like fisher price knives. steer clear. in fact, steer clear of any coated blade. Don't see the point in them at all.
