Microsoft Studios Publisher Sale for Windows 10 (PC) @ Microsoft Store

The newest Publisher Sale on Xbox Live brings some Microsoft's games not only on Xbox One and Xbox 360, but on Windows 10 as well. Not so many games but still they're so interestin… Read more

Only KI is part of Xbox Play Anywhere among these games which are given for this deal. Rest of them are separate releases.

Hi, so just to clarify these games when bought will be able to play on both xbox one and Windows PC? Think it's MS calls it Play Anywhere for cross platforms? Thanks I was eyeing on Killer instinct but the one star reviews suggest don't work on PC??

Great deal, needs better linking though.

Really good deal for Killer Instinct(which runs fantastic on PC).

Thought this would be a sale on Microsoft Publisher

There is no Xbox version, unfortunately.

How is it work with that cheats? :/

I'm a bit confused by this version, it only seems to have a handful of civs included and no Britons! The AI is odd too (this is for the PC, maybe xbox is different)

Worth noting that this only works on Windows 10.

I have the same problem. Has anyone actually bought this?

I don't agree, this is the HD version on steam, a fair bit of processing needed. It'll run, but like me when playing the very large map with 8 players, it struggled a little. Have 1060gpu now, no problem.

Great game, bought in April when it was last on offer for the same price.

Available on Mac?

Hope you are all aware that AOE4 is in production too! Gonna be good! :D

Great game

Thrown so many hours into these two games, great deal. AOE3 I felt was easier and was more story driven if that interests you, also set in USA, which I find fascinating.

...much better. AoE III is good but this is my most-played game in my 40yrs of gaming! I keep on moving to the similar latest release and am initially wowed by the graphics but then always end up coming back to AoE II. It's like comparing Quake 2 with any other game of it's genre (he said, hoping to generate controversy). (pirate)

Yes, it is. The three new expansion packs are all pretty good and they all give you new factions and units to use in skirmish/multiplayer. It's a ton of content and probably hundreds of hours of gameplay. Age of Empires III is very good, but this is generally considered to be better.

How does it compare to Age of Empires III ? I already have that, so considering whether this is worth it for me.

No, it doesn't ;)

Finally figured it out! I had two linked microsoft accounts, one was logged into the browser and the other was logged into the MS store. Usually in the past I've never had issues and it had run seamlessly but for this it wasn't working. I had put the balance on one which made it inaccessible to the other... Had to change account on MS store before it would let me pay via balance.

Thanks for this, ill give it a try now

Mentioned here bud. I use a Mac so assumed it was greyed out for me for that reason. Read the quoted instructions bud, that should sort it :)

Hey @BuzzDuraband , im used to using this method for xbox and do so using a browser. This will be my first time using this method with a WIn10 game, when I click the link and try to click buy it basically says not available on my device. What am I doing wrong? should I be using the Microsoft store app on win10 itself?

Can't see AOE2 being done after AOE HD?

So this is Age 1 remastered. Age 2 and 3 are also getting remastereds and will be released at some point. The original Age 3 was released in 2005, and Age 4 was announced at gamescom earlier in the week. Age 1 remastered (this), is sticking with the £15 price point, and won't change when it releases in October.

I remember going to America partly to get AoE2 on release, I played that game to death. Apparently there is AoE3 and AoE4 on the way too, confusing... Is this just an early release or will it be more expensive later?

When I signed up I had to take a survey which requested PC specs. I couldn't find any other reference. So I am not 100%. You do need an xbox live account, but I needed that for Gears Of War 4 on PC as well.

OP - Pretty sure this is for PC? I couldn't see anything on the AOE site mentioning console.

I have just completed a survey for the beta and it is asking for my PC set up because they want to ensure it runs on the widest possible set of hardware, so looks like it is coming to PC.

your missing the point, they are bigging up AOE at the yet disregarding its main platform. Playing rts on a console is like trying to pick your nose with a sledgehammer, it just doesnt work.

Is this definitely for Xbox One? Just watched the E3 2017 anounce trailer for this and it doesn't mention Xbox One anywhere, at the end it just says it's for Windows 10. So it looks like the Xbox login they want is just for the multiplayer element, plus if you have an Xbox login, you probably use it for Windows too.

The first Settles had me addicted for months on end, I remember playing that split screen on the Amiga 500 with my brother using two mice. We even managed to hook that up to the VCR to record our gameplay, 20 some years before Twitch became a thing ;) Likewise when we got a PC I think we both played the AOE demo to death as it was included on the disc of the first PC magazine I ever got. Needless to say months later when we finally got the full game that got so much play time. I remember playing online games with dial-up that disconnected every two hours, I had to ensure I had just connected to the internet before playing a game to ensure it didn't disconnect half way though a game. Some good memories!

Excellent game, difficult to play online though as often you just get knight rushed.

Damn, thought I would try AoE II to see if I like it...2 hours have passed already! Almost finished all the tutorials and loving it! Only thing I dislike. I can not pick a resolution to play at but minor problem. Won't be an issue to most but I am running at a high res. Some of the text is tinyyyyy. Luckily I don't have to read those bits too much. It's highly addictive like these games always are haha, but I like a lot of things in this one more than the others. Mostly how easy it is to play and build for one! Love building walls lol

Right -that makes more sense.

You need to refresh cache. Prices are the same, it just takes afew mins for the prices to update

For todays' deals, they're running with all the previous deals, but with not as much off. For example, Elite is £36, not £30 as the deal of a few days ago. Meh.

I can't seem to get 1080p resolution on AOE 3. It keeps defaulting back to 1024x768. I can get 1080p on the expansion packs though.
