Wwaste of money. Don't do it to yourself. Get some EZ brushes for the barrels and some Vikan brushes for the faces of your alloys.

packard

Better off getting a good brush vs this attachment

Is it any good or just a waste of money ?

mozbud

Are these any good, look at bit pointless to me, isn't it better/more convenient (and cheaper) to clean the wheels with a normal wheel cleaning brush and then jet wash afterwards?

Quote of my message “I got some sidelight bulbs about 6 months ago, were still around that price then” no claim you can still get. In another message I said “usually”, this is because other times I needed some they were around that price. I can see you would prefer to keep off topic for the item above, that’s up to you.

As I said this was some time ago, perhaps you’d be better off looking for the hotukdeals time machine?

Still waiting for the bulbs (confused) (confused) (confused) (confused)

It all depends on the day, batteries are usually good - approx 50% off. Wiper blades are a bit hit and miss, sometimes the non Halfords brands get a better discount. I’ve had a trade card for over ten years and each time the discount varies. Sometimes if there are in store deals on it’s cheaper not to use you card as they don’t include certain offers like 3 for 2 on tools. The discounts offered don’t really match the ones quoted above. E.g. 25% off Wipers, Ignition and Filtration: That looks more than 25%

I've heard of people using bog brushes - nothing to scratch and cheap,!

SuffolkLad222

Agreed. I don't see continuously running water useful at all. A normal wheel brush for a few pounds is all you need. Agitate the dirt and then a quick rinse with a hose.

mozbud

never used one of these but can imagine it's more trouble and less effective than using a normal wheel brush (not attached to hose or pressure washer)

packard

Don’t bother by wheel wollies or EZ brush - will save time Money and won’t damage your alloys

b1g1an

Bit like the ones for the crappy foam lance, give it five stars and then show pictures of watery nothing running off their car.

chrisk2010

To be honest go for a normal alloy wheel brush or wheel wooly and a good fallout remover like bilt hamber. I imagine quite awkward to use on the end of a trigger lance.

1VR46

Fair enough (y) 🏻 can’t beat karcher stuff

krisdeb

I agree. £7 to £10 max.

krisdeb

Used it twice, mixed feelings, very bulky and not comfortable for me. Another garage treasure chest item, I would say. The quality and water flow is ok.

mattclarkie

It depends on the alloys, the washer doesn't get into the sides of the rims on mine leaving them filthy, this brush gets it out nicely. It will very much depend on the number of spokes, I think my are 12 spoke from memory.

Alloy wheels come in various finishes, most alloys are painted and lacquered. There are some high end wheels which of course are either powder coated, diamond cut, anodised or chromed, but these are normally on the most expensive wheels. I would envisage that people who buy high end wheels probably would not use Cif on them and for us common folk who have a painted finish should most definitely not use Cif, it says so on the CIF bottle, not suitable for painted surfaces. I personally would not suggest Cif as an alternative though there are plenty other products that could be used.

GishG

If only I had a car. :D

ELVIS_THE_PELVIS

There not all good you know. covers are ok,Get A nice set.

donny

correct - CIF is a lot better and its £1 a bottle and works a lot better - voted cold.

Poorboys wheel sealant is the stuff you need. One application lasts months! Although it’s a lot more money than this

SteHuz90

You can but not this easy, plus it leaves a sparkling ‘brand new looking’ alloy underneath.

dgpfc

Found out the other day that screw fix is owned by b&q group, some products the same but different prices, same crap website, hard work

Simon_Pitts

And you can wipe it off a normal untreated wheel too

SteHuz90

You can wipe it off with your finger though!
