That's a nice jacket! Sounds like we have the same weakness for coats, for me especially when they're on Sale LOL!
Cheers for the heads up on the precip but I can justify another waterproof as I’ve already got about six or seven. I think I’m going to try the rab microlight and see if the fit is any different but I already have two packable down jackets and was after a synthetic.
I was a bit late to the game and all the Rab Cirrus jackets were sold out in medium and large so I had a look at the other jackets in that price range...not that there were many! I did a quick search on the reviews elsewhere on-line and all seemed to be positive...and that was at full RRP. I know what you mean by the stretch panels under the arms though, however sad as I am and with time on my hands, I watched the guys video review (all 13 minutes of it LOL!) on the jackets Treckit website page and he effectively squashed my doubts...obviously he's a little biased but I'm easily persuaded! Also, being a thrifty Northerner...I signed up to their rewards program and earned myself a handsome 75p...every penny counts! Have just ordered the jacket in a large, (minus my 75p) which will most likely be too big but whichever one I send back that saving will go towards the postage which according to the weight and looking on the Royal Mail Parcels website is only £3! I was wearing a t-shirt and thick fleece when I just tried the medium on which arrived today, so probably wouldn't be wearing a thick fleece when out. Don't know if you're in the market for a decent hardshell but Amazon have some good offers on the Marmot Men's Precip Eco Jacket, just picked one up in medium for £54!! Just in case the weather and rain turns a little too much for the Haglof, this'll slip over it and when not using packs down into one of the pockets. I'll most likely post it on here later when the kids are squared awayand I have a bit of time! https://www.amazon.co.uk/Marmot-PreCip-Hardshell-Jacket-Classic/dp/B07V4NFLVZ/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=Marmot+Men's+Precip+Eco+Hardshell+Rain+Jacket&qid=1613156380&s=clothing&sr=1-2&th=1&psc=1 I would possibly have preferred the Rab, but the Haglof gets good reviews, it seems well made and either are a decent saving when you look around at other retailers and what they're charging (John Lewis are trying to sell the Haglof for £170 LOL). I've even seen people selling them second hand on eBay for not a lot less!
On a separate note I received the wrong item. I got the normal beluga one not the buluga light. The one I got is more expensive on the website. I’m wondering if the one I purchased would have fitted differently.
I did look at the Haglofs jackets but I was put off by the stretch panels on the back of the shoulder. Unfortunately they do not pay for the return, it would need to be yourself. I haven’t actually sorted out the return yet. There is a form to print off on the website to go back with the item.

Hi, how did you get free postage as I am being charged 3.99?
My return is 'stuck at the border'. AlpineTrek have been really helpful and as the returns label is a UK address they have confirmed arrival and I have a full refund. Like others I have been concerned about the taxes, so thanks for sharing.

Rab Women's Valiance Down Jacket £214 at Go Outdoors Waterproof Down£214Go Outdoors Deals
I've been watching the price of this jacket for a while. If they had the size I'm after I would be jumping at this. Great price.
Yep I’ve played that game before when I lived in Brum. In Sussex now so a bit of a trek. I tend to be in between small and medium in Rab so usually have to purchase both and see. I’m justifying not trying now as I am telling myself we are going to start getting too warm for it soon. £225 is a killer deal by the way, nice find.
Think I got mine for just over £225 in the end. You won’t regret it! I did have to bide my time to get it at that price... Rab outlet shop in Alfreton Derbyshire is a good place to go if you can’t wait for a retailer to have it at a decent price. No guarantees they will have the size or model you want on display though!
This was pretty much my experience 2 seasons ago and ended up sending it back. I actually ended up using a thermoball jacket with a shell over when wet and it was a good experience. Last year picked up a Rab Sanctuary for chilly dry days and it’s great. I take it the newer one you refer to is the Resolution. It looks great!
The resolution looks a beast of a coat, I may pick one up next year if it reduces in price a bit.

Aye I had to cancel my jacket too as the delivery date kept getting longer, they made a half assed claim they cannot directly cancel the order directly with their "own warehouse" and it may not be successful. Considering the item is now beards away from being delivered I don't see their being an issue, always a paypal dispute to open if they want to play dodgy buggers however.
Gutted I missed my size.
If it's good enough for our special forces then... ;)

Hasn’t this deal been posted a few days ago?, cos I got mine delivered 3:4 days ago from the same place
I received my item today. All seems good and posted via tracked royal mail
No worries (y) PS I feel a little compelled to put this that I have added to my sportpursuit deals which explains the reason for people having to join before getting access to the site. If you check the other deals people are starting to receive their goods so there's nothing dodgy about this site IMO. From my previous sport pursuit thread. neil.solender 24th Nov 1thr0tt12/11/2020 21:15Can access site due to a pop up stating I have to sign up... pointless The reason they do this is because they sell cheaper than the distributors, and the manufacturer has an agreement with the distributors that they won't undercut them. The work around is to sell to the public by having a private club (sport pursuit) . Hence why you have to be a member. Its blinking annoying when you own a shop and you see being sold cheaper than you can buy it from the distributor. I had interests in a outdoor shop this site finished the retail element. Saying that I've bought stuff from sport pursuit before, it's genuine stuff at very aggressive prices.
Thanks a lot to you for the code and the initial find, wouldn't have known without your post (highfive)
Heat added. And thanks for the mention, much appreciated (y)
My jacket arrived last week, very good quality as you would expect from Rab, I somehow paid £99 + p&p, a real bargain. Just be aware that like a lot of these active stretch hardshells, the hood is massive as it's climbing helmet compatible, no issues for me. Thanks for posting OP (y)
Thanks OP, ordered one, just what I was looking for. Code worked fine too (y)
These guys are a good company, don't know what the issue is with signing up, literally takes minutes and is hassle free. Really great deals on there, bought a couple of Rab jackets, no complaints.
Fair enough, and that's your choice of course and I semi understand it. On this occasion this is a usually great site that offers products cheaper than elsewhere from what I have seen. I have bought from them and have no complaints anyway.
Not sure I understand your point, I have purchased lots from sports pursuits, and it hasn't taken any more time than purchasing from any other online retailer. Rab kit is the same where ever you purchase it from.

Thanks for the info, I've edited my OP and credited you. (y) Enjoy your weekend!
10s back in stock. I carefully measured myself and found I should buy a 12... it was wrong and ballooned around my hips! I sent it back and re-bought a 10. In fairness I’m almost 6 feet tall so this could be it but just bear that in mind if you are also tall. It’s so warm I’m so excited to try it this weekend <3
Yes, I've updated the OP (y)
12 and 16 only left now
I purchased the North Face hedgehog boots using this code and it worked!! Cheers didn’t get from delivery but it more than covered the 4.99

My delivery date was getting later and later, into early February! But thankfully it's been dispatched now and is arriving today. So fingers crossed that's the end of the saga (y)
Guess what .... it’s moved again!!!
It’s moved again! 18th now. No response to calls. No call back. Emails responded to after 4 days. What a joke.
The saga continues. Phoned up again this morning. They have a weird set up where if they don’t answer in 2 minutes you get cut off. Phoned back and was told I was 2nd in the queue and then my 2 minutes was up and was cut off. Phoned again and was able to press hash to get a call back and wouldn’t lose my place in the queue (I was 2nd again). 5 hours later I haven’t got a call back..........

I contacted SportPursuit to ask where my order was and they said it was on its way from the Warehouse. Next day they refunded me (not for the postage - but I wouldn't have bothered buying the other items if I hadn't ordered the jacket so wasn't very happy) and they sent an email saying it was out of stock.
Hey guys I been looking at the north face thermoball eco how does this compare anyone have both or know more about the materials and stuff to help me decide whats better... I have a shell for rain and wind this is purely for warmth... any advice is appreciated cheers.
More blue indeed, but nice! Bit long at the back for my liking, but I guess that’s just the style
Agree with this. More blue but feels great quality. I have the microlight jacket and this will definitely be warmer I think!

Great deal I don’t get the haters Rab stuff is superb yeah they are more popular now but that’s down to selling good quality items.
I love my rab stuff but it has turned into the new Northface ;(
Damn, it looks like they've really cut back on the quality. I bought a previous version of the Nucleus Pull On in 2018 and it had a better zip design for retaining heat, a much more structured/plusher neck, a zipguard up top, the material was much thicker dual-layer and the overall design was far more structured. Have Rab started cost cutting in general, or is this just a one off? For comparison: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01N9R2AOT/ref=pe_3187911_185740111_TE_item
