One of the best games of the decade and my favourite TW game. Don't know why they didn't just call it Total Warhammer though!

I agree, it's nothing majorly groundbreaking, however the step in to the fantasy world (dragons etc) is something I've always wished they would do but never considered to be a possibility!

Might have done 500.....and I don't have the time either :-). Burnt out a bit on the 2nd, its a good game but not a ground breaking improvement for me, as of yet anyway.

Gone up to 12.24 ?

Cheapest I’ve seen this. An extra 5% off is possible through the Facebook page but I imagine you’ve all used that up already. edit - now even lower @ £22.99 (credit to davie412

FYI CDKeys is not on the SEGA approved retailer list below: 'If you purchase your SEGA products from an unauthorised retailer, there is a risk that the product may be defective or unlawfully obtained.' 'SEGA also reserves its right to disable digital keys that have been obtained unlawfully by unauthorised distributors, without any further liability.' I did purchase Warhammer Total War from CDKeys in December 2016 and it hasn't been revoked yet though (skeptical)

Dropped to £22.99

I'm a bit behind in terms of the latest games and when they came out (lol)

I don't know but I know there is a Grand Conquest (free) DLC that combines all your races and lords from both games for a single massive campaign. Looks epic

It was only released in September 2017, I doubt anybody's had time to play it yet.

Do any work with Mac?

I'd say the first one is worth getting too. You also need both games if you want to play the Mortal Empires DLC that lets play a campaign over the maps from both game with any faction from either game,

Empire, Napoleon & Shogun 2 still my favs <3

Aye, mebbe :D

Just to add the price has now gone up to £27.99

I have this and the original and I think there are plenty of factions to play before you need to shell out on additional dlc. Having said that I am going to buy tomb kings as they are my favourite from my physical collection

Yeah I know it ain’t much cheaper from normal I’ll probably buy one dlc for a faction I like but I ain’t going to get them all

Steam Christmas sale usually. Tomb Kings DLC out end of Jan is also on reduced price to preorder. The DLC has never really been cheaper, been the same way for the first game.

Can be bought cheaper without the DLC from a grey market key reseller: Personally I'd prefer to buy from a legit seller like Fanatical though. Plus the DLC for this game is totally worth a few quid extra

Such as...???

Good deal but seen lower prices.

I think everyone is intelligent enough to realise that you can't own DLC for a game which you don't own, it makes no sense. A DLC is dependent on the game itself.

My post was simply stating facts about the promotion that aren't immediately apparent, and that can only be acquired by attempting to redeem said promotion. Saving others in a similar position the hassle of trying. It didn't require, nor desire a reply. As to your question, the answer is plainly obvious.

Obviously? How are you going to play the DLCs without the base game..

Opted for Wrath of Sparta, thanks! :)

Nice., I only needed Black Sea. Made my decision easy. :D

The Mortal Empires campaign that you can play if you also own TWWI is possibly the best Total War game I've ever played, and I've been a fan since 2000 with the original Shogun. Absolutely fantastic game.

Cold ...

lol paid less on release with a DLC, just a heads up dont buy this, it isnt getting patched until after new year...

Same. I'm waiting for Shadow of War to drop to a reasonable price.

Its not meant to be that good judging by the feedback on line....Not voted...I have wolfenstein 2 and AC Origins Gold to go through. Just noticed Hitman has been updated to GOTY as well. Too much .....So many games all wanting playing

Ah I didnt go that far

I was wondering where DABs went to, thanks for the info. Explains the misleading advertising.

It shows as that price until you go through to the checkout itself (not basket) and then suddenly it's £381.47 :(

Hmm showing as £342 for me oddly enough. Not buying anyway, like the CPU but it would have to come down under £300 for me, which it won't anytime soon, think Ryzen might be more sensible for me. Plus I won't buy from BT Shop anyway as I find their CS lousy kinda like BT in general, had a problem with a GPU from them and they didn't want to know, they were better when they were DABs IMHO....

It's still available for me and still £346

That absolutely sucks, but I will have to try that, thanks!

Not sure if you figured this out in the end, but they have now limited the code to two uses per account. :( A way to get around this, is to create a new account with an email identical to yours but just a place a "." anywhere on your email. then when your purchase games, all your confirmation and key emails will go to your old email.

This was about £26 few weeks ago this is the normal price they sell it at

I did discover the order-while-paused feature on company of heroes which made it a lot easier - but thought it was cheating as of course you cannot do it in multiplayer! but on one mission where I'm crossing multiple bridges, repelling attacks, all in a time limit, I just cannot juggle so many things at once! AI is overtaking us :)

Not too much to worry about - the real-time battles can be paused. They have a much more forgiving rhythm generally than Company of Heroes/Dawn of War 2, which are really on the edge for me (I keep meaning to go back with Cheat Engine or shortcut switches to forcibly slow them down). The strategy layer is fully turn based. I never found Total War a really hard min-max strategy game - they're great for atmosphere and conjuring war stories. They have a narrative flow a lot like Paradox grand strategy - gradual building up and civilizing punctuated with violence breaks. Like Crusader Kings there's usually a slice of family planning, with characters gaining and losing traits; there are agents to move around the board for skullduggery (who also level up). It's all very engaging and there's good variety. I can't really comment much on the newer titles. I believe from reading reviews Attila and Warhammer are both something of a return to form, while for me Medieval 1 (not on sale), Rome and Medieval 2 were all terrific. I think if you want extra challenge these games are all heavily moddable and have plenty of high quality hardcore mods (as well as AI mods for the battles). Might pick up Attila though with my Humble discount, I love that setting. Or maybe get around to actually playing Warhammer :D ok putting a sock in it now

nice deal but I still need to get some value of the first one lol. it is looking good but I have for sidetracked

The problem is us, gamers. Do not ever preorder. Don't give money for something that some dick Tom or Harry has not even started coding in his basement in California. It's not a small indie studio that needs to release a half baked game in early access in order to finance it. But people think it's okay to buy a base game for £35 quid then pay £10 for each bloody dlc. I don't even dare to calculate how much i paid for total war Warhammer altogether. Don't make the same mistake.

Got the first game for £32 and logged about 150hrs, at £25 this is a bargain I reckon. Can't wait to try out the high elves! ;)

That Denuvo protection is apparently so difficult to crack that CA managed to get nearly a year's worth of unpirated sales through and could therefore charge what they wanted and implement whatever paid DLC strategy they wished. While I oppose the pirating of good games, I'm worried that prices will NOT come down once piracy is diminished.

Paradox are the worst when it comes to barebones games and paid DLC.
