What I have noticed is that when steam has sale - elsewhere game on sale would be cheaper, but only for period of steam sale, so this is a good indicator for me when to buy something I want. I put game on a wishlist, wait for notification that its on sale and then go elsewhere to find it even cheaper

Steam sales have been poor since they removed flash deals and put in refunds. Most games are cheaper on cdkeys and you don't have to wait for an artificial sale.

Not seeing anything cheaper on Steam than it is elsewhere ... been the same for a few years now

It is meant to say want at the end. My mobile phone does not like the layout for some reason.

You might actually? Couldn't bring yourself to say it eh!

Does this work for UK customers?

You could go either or, but I had the first one and bought the second for this price a while ago (tbh this isn't the best price it has been) but yeah you'd be best to just grab both you get lots of factions and the whole map, plus if you really enjoy it, 3 is out soon so even more stuff ;)

2 is a more refined experience but they are mostly the same game only released a year apart. Each game has different factions but owning the 1st game allows you to play as that game's factions in the 2nd game. Which essentially makes Warhammer 1 DLC for Warhammer 2. The DLC is as attractive as what factions you enjoy playing as.

I've been looking to get a total Warhammer game...are there many differences between 1 and 2? And is there any dlc that's essential?

Hello all, Nothing fancy to this one. TWWIII i/ TWW3 s the final game in the series which combines the previous two. It's probably the only franchise i'm willing to pre-order wi… Read more

People still preordering? Amazing..

I can also vouch for this same experience. Pre ordered both through cd keys. First game came with DLC, second one didn’t

Tbh, I think it's unlikely that the FREE DLC will retial for more than £18 anyway, so even IF (which i highly doubt) you didn't get the pre-order DLC (in the past I always did, but can understand some people had issues) then you're still saving a fair chunk of money getting this version instead of the £50 steam one.

Bit rude calling strangers liars when they've had a different experience from you. Here's the twitter thread from 2017 of people (including me) complaining that they didn't get the pre-order bonus-

Wish they would do a 40k version :(

Which of these games have campaign battle replays (recordings) that you can watch later? It stopped with Rome, but when did they put it back in the game (if they ever did?)

Pretty much another other ;) Let's put Troy nearer the bottom though aswell.

Which one is your fav?

It's never been one of the good ones sadly

An absolute "total" steal for one of the best in the series.. also the mod for Lord of the rings available makes it worth it alone. Total War: MEDIEVAL II - Definitive Edition (EU… Read more

Who knows?

They won't. The reason Rome is remastered is android release. They have ported it to mobile and than brought it back to PC as a remastered edition. Probably they needed to release something quickly to keep their shareholders happy. Don't expect Medieval 2 remastered. Just install one of great mods and enjoy old good Medieval II...or install Europa Barbarorum II mod , which change Medieval II to ancient time . Much better than Rome remastered.

Nice to pick up now incase they do a remaster at some point and offer the same 50% off at launch.

Considering the age of the game it's not really that cheap I think. You would be mad to pay 20 quid for this.

17 years later... You would hope so.
