sorted byYou can no longer simply toggle off "auto renew", so in 5 month's time you'll have to set a reminder to specifically cancel the subscription "at least one day" before the renewal date.
... whatever "at least one day" means... The day before? 24 hours? 1 working day?... who knows.
It's a very anti-consumer policy, blatantly designed to trip people up.

so now is the best time to use it along with the the O2 priority offer to get a total of 8 months free (edited)
if you look at the relevant barclaycard terms it says the apple tv trial code generation end on september 22nd
also says any generated codes can be used october 31st
so if you are organised you can max out the trial length by generating a code on sept 22nd but not using it till oct 31st

I saw OP & other comments say about cancelling immediately. In the past, you'd lose access to the rest of the trial once you cancel. It's the only company I know of that does it like this. Has that changed? Can you now cancel but keep the rest of the 5 months?
Pretty much the only reason I would get Apple TV, had it before and I was pretty amazed how little is on there.

pressing redeem and it did an authentication but i feel i pressed redeem again while i was doing it.
I dont know exactly how it happened for i'm not complaining. i had a family sub with a month to go so i cancelled that before starting the process so maybe thats got something to do with it?
Most of these offers will work if you've been a subscriber in the past and cancelled - new subscribers simply means no current subscription so most of these offers dont stack if there's a sub still active even if cancelled.
There's nothing in the thread about what offer the deal URL came from - or on what date it'll stop working. That deal URL just generates another URL with an actual offer code - so if you've a current sub right now its worth clicking the deal link now and noting down the offer code you'll see after "code=" in the next URL. That offer code can be applied in your Apple TV+ account later on and might have a longer expiry date. (edited)
