If you have dual sim phone or single sim+eSIM a 2nd sim is essential for traveling if it is able to provide free roaming for a price of crisps.

Roaming in the USA charged at 5p a min plus text. 2p a min to receive and 1p/MB. China is 20p for calls and texts, 6p to receive and 1p/MB. One of the best roaming i’ve seen. But not as part of your plan

What's the point in giving extra data but for 1 month only.

Not impressed with them. Ordered sim for test drive and it has not arrived in 11 days. Contacted them, said lost in post and sent another one. That one arrived and already using it for 26 days. Very slow internet- on 4G up to 7mbps with full signal and up to 23mbps on 5G also with full signal in different cities across UK. Calls cut off very often, have to redial, texts not delivered in many occasions , but receiving is fine. No wifi calling nor 4G calling. Used in France 5 days ago and there was no internet at all no matter how I tried, calls/txts were OK. This is with their provided number, I would never risk to porting my number to them.
    Overall rubbish. Look elsewhere.

What’s normal EE in your area like? Or is it a poor signal area? Have you tried rwg?

Check out trustpilot. But of course angry people are noisy on these sites in general. Good score on it BTW, for this price and as a 2nd sim I think it is worth to try. (edited)

I’m using it at the moment, and not particularly impressed. It is the first MNVO that I’ve managed to get 5G with, but only at 2mb/s (1 bar of signal) so nothing to write home about. Also doesn’t appear to do Wi-Fi calling on my iPhone 13 Pro Max, so already got my PAC ready to leave at the end of month 1

Have a look at 1p mobile. Speeds not capped, WiFi calling and 4g calling included

Is this another one like RWG where they just send you a Now Mobile SIM with a sticker over the top of it? Or are they more separate than that?

If it’s another sticker job I personally wouldn’t touch them. I tried RWG once and it was a weird situation where RWG pointed the finger at Now and Now pointed the finger at RWG. They all seemed confused who’s problem it was to fix and issue and ultimately nothing got done about it so I left. I wouldn’t touch such a brand again unless it was a brand operating entirely in its own right, and not a MVNO piggybacking on another MVNO.

Please be aware that a change in T&C has taken place for Talk Home mobile. All SIM only contracts are now deemed 12 months minimum term. Just received an email which says, if you do not agree to the change, you have until 13th June 2023 to call up customer service and cancel your subscription.

Contacted Customer Service via chat and they confirmed it.

Shame they don't so esim. EE only does esim on contracts now and their pricing is astronomical with no deals possible since they withdrew from all third party resellers and comparison sites.

EE do deals when you threaten to leave or get your PAC. Their standard pricing though is terrible.

Every provider can decide about contract length or cancellation. Many offers 30 days from day 1 but with special offers they usually tie with longer contracts. 3 months, 12, 24,36 mostly. Completely legal.

You can't sell a 1 month contract and then demand people must pay for 3 months!!

It doesn't fill you with confidence when they have a spelling mistake on their home page. I get the feeling they are quite a small company.

You can't cancel in the first 90 days?

That sounds dodgy as hell. OFCOM brought in specific rules so things like that are not allowed to happen.. easy switching using 65075 etc..

Currently on O2. Will this have better reception? Frequently unable to get on the internet with O2 in Manchester. Thanks!

Probably yes, but the signal won't be as good as you would get with EE Directly. I'd recommend checking here:

Nice to see another one throwing it's hat into the cheap temporarily SIMs list. Although I don't see myself using TH unless they increase their offer time periods to at least 5 months.

Have gone for this deal a few days ago after leaving EE last week for iD mobile and regretting it pretty much straight away. Working in London most of the time I had 5G signal (on iD) but the internet simply wouldn’t work at all. Useless.

Will see how this goes but at home it’s getting good speeds on 4G indoors at least

These guys use Now Mobile which are terrible, here's all the issues I've seen:

    1. They have a major technical limitation where 5G and 4G data drops to 3G if you make a voice call.
    2. I transferred my number to them via PAC number but it never updates on the web account portal.
    3. Automatic payment just stopped working which killed my data and people could no longer call me.

Clearly a very immature company with a lot of issues at the moment, avoid if I was you! (edited)

Now Mobile has actually been going since 2010 so they are pretty well experienced in what they do. And EE have limitations for their MVNOs who have cheaper agreements in place meaning you get less signal as they block out 800MHz Band 20 Frequency including VoLTE. It means that you can have 4G or 5G for data, but if you need to make a call you will drop to 2G or 3G for the duration. Only EE Themselves, CMLink, and 1p Mobile are the only EE Based networks who allow full VoLTE access.

With that said, I do agree on an operational basis that they are pretty bad with managing their customer accounts with things like payments and billing, and porting numbers going wrong. And I would certainly hesitate to use them or any of their sub brands in future.

This sounds quite good! As far as MVNO's go, if you can get a second SIM using EE's infrastructure you're golden in my eyes.

I'm still using ToTheMoon Mobile and as far as MVNO's go they've been particularly seamless.

Full 5G (literally some insane speeds in central Manchester, whereas Voda, O2 and Three absolutely grind to a halt), relatively clear cut app for the mobile end (they have a finance end too which currently is dead in the water pending some issues with their payment partner or something) and before they started to ghost everyone via their in-app human based chat - I'd give TTM a solid 9/10 for network capabilities alone

If TTM goes under, I'm leaning towards this, 1p Mobile, Now or RWG as its replacement.

Since the company has issued new T&Cs that all contracts are 12 months I recommend everyone reports the first posts so mods expire it.
