If you turn on auto renew, wait a couple of months, turn it off often you get a free 2 month extension to keep auto renew on...

I think I've reached my limit as its stopped for me but I've added over 12 months doing this over the last year.

Same here. For the past year or so they have just been giving me free months and I haven't paid a penny. Then last month the game was up and I had to dip into my Argos stash again!

I have 18 months remaining. If I order 3 to stack, this will give me 4.5 years.
What would happen if I bought another and tried to stack it?

The 4th redemption will fail as the max period is 5 years.
You can fill the 6 months gap with the bonus promos. (edited)

Why pay for something like this? Worst it's a subscription! If it's not free, use Google package!

Not just apps. 6tb of cloud storage too. Look up pricing just for 6tb per year. The clue is there.

Brilliant deal, thanks for posting! 😁 Current sub expires in July, so this came at the right time.

Paid £120 for 3 deals of 15 months (so 3 years 9 months) and sold the 3 McAfee codes on Facebook for £15 each. So came to £75 in the end

Did you buy all 3 together and still managed to get the extra 3 months added by MS? I brought one yesterday and one today and got the extra 3 months for each but wanted another today in case the deals expires but wasn’t sure if it would affect the MS promo?

If your company uses 365 do you not get the HUP programme giving you at least the 365 part free? May not be a thing anymore I dont know. (edited)

I used to get it free from my company.

But recently it’s been bugging me to login with my company email and my personal PC is not set on company terms… So sod it, grabbed my own, less hassle.

Really struggled to get this on devices that have previously had 365, remnants from old accounts that just won't go away.

Use this official Microsoft tool to fully remove 365 :

Once we submit the claim, can we then redeem the code on our Microsoft account or do we have to wait for the claim to be approved first?
    charlie12's avatar
    charlie12
You can redeem the original code anytime but the claim usually doesn't take long so I would personally wait but it shouldn't matter either way. (edited)

Good to know this offer is back again, got 3 subs stacked the last time and have ordered another one now...
Just a reminder if your ordering more than 1 to do seperate transactions so you can claim the extra 3 months on each by showing different order numbers in the proof of purchase
    Major774's avatar
    Major774
I went to try and claim the 3 extra months with Microsoft, however, I needed to input a qualifying device as well.

Anyway to get around this? As I have only purchased this deal with no qualifying device.

Do the digital codes have expiry dates on them?

If I bought more than I can stack at the moment, can I just keep it until I have less than 5 years left and then use it?
    charlie12's avatar
    charlie12
No expiry and yes you can delay redemption.

Has anyone upgraded from single user to family? If I've already stacked a couple of single user codes on my account what happens if I add a family code? Pushing the boat out, I got another single user code which was applied to a separate 365 account, can the two be merged under a single family account?
    razo's avatar
    razo
Not sure if changed in the last year. What used to happen was that if you bought 4 years of single user, and then added 1 month of family, it upgraded the whole 4yrs 1 month to family.

I also got the £5 off £40 - thanks @Chanchi32 for your informative post.
My code from Argos took a few mins under 2 hours to come through.
I've been buying/renewing MS 365 for more than a decade now, and never had a region issue before.
If anyone is overseas, even if their MS account is set to UK (and of course Argos is UK) then you might get a geo-location error like I just did.
Using a VPN resolved this (I used Windscribe chrome extension).
The +3 months took 5 mins to come through from MS. Top tip = ensure your Argos proof-of-purchase includes the purchase date! 🙈

In case you already signed up to marketing emails you might have got a code for £7 off £75 as a bank holiday offer. I bought 2 copies for £82 at 5:50 this morning, not quite £40 a pop, but still happy with that. Thanks for the heads up, I had checked to see if it was on offer but was put off by the initial mobile screen showing £75 a copy and didn't progress to the checkout until I saw your post (edited)

This is quite the deal if you want access to the apps and a custom email address linked to your domain. It states that "Starting November 30, 2023, Microsoft 365 subscribers will no longer be able to create a new email address for any personalized domain associated with their Outlook.com mailbox."

So if you buy a few years of the Family plan, you'll continue to benefit from this feature past the date of feature's removal. After that date, if you want the access to the apps and a custom email then you'll have to pay £10.30/month, but with the Family plan it equates to be £3.33/month with this deal.

I got this unlimited Total Protection using with 3 pcs 1 phone 1 tablet so I think it is truly unlimited when those are attached to your mcafee account. But there may be a limitation of number of your devices if you have a lot....not sure. (edited)

Nope, I thought the same when I tried last night.

I just got 3 extra months by only submitting my Argos proof of purchase today.

I think I screwed up my other code as I added the 12 months to my Microsoft account before claiming my 3 extra months.

For the above approved claim, I claimed the 3 extra months before adding the standard 12 months to my Microsoft account. (edited)
