    Managed to get it to £1 by logging in then going to offers rather than boiler cover. Does anybody know if they’ll sign off a warranty booklet to say service has been done?

    I do a bit of servicing for OVO, and it's no different than if I were to do it privately.
    If you have your booklet to hand, produce it for the engineer and they'll fill it in for you keeping your warranty valid.

    I have a Worcester Bosch boiler and on the warranty record form it states "A System inhibitor concentration test is required on every annual service...", but the OVO Service Plan says "Testing the system’s inhibitor levels ..." is NOT included - so this OVO boiler service does not appear to be sufficient to keep a Worcester Bosch boiler within warranty ???

    there is a catch, that the earliest booking can be made is months away, for my case, I was told six months.

    Think I'd rather pay £80 for my regular chap to do a proper service. Sometimes a deal isn't worth the risk, can imagine these get a bonus for upselling parts. I had a problem with my gas meter which he spotted, which was restricting flow, organised a replacement.

    Signed up for this offer last week. Service was scheduled in for April automatically so I asked to rearrange for as soon as possible (as I like to get it done around this time before winter) and then the engineer called today and booked me in for next week (edited)

    Imagine the quality of engineers they are getting to service all these different brands of boiler?

    Be a young guy who's probably never seen a boiler like yours taking it to pieces and ticking boxes. Next day boiler not working and it will be impossible to prove it was them.

    Nah I'll pass I put £8 a month away and get the manufacturer to service mine every year. Guy comes replaces seals etc and I can trust he's serviced a boiler like mine hundreds of times with out fail.

    Just had this service, they sent a proper engineer and he spent almost an hour doing it, looked like a regular service with disassembling and all the tests. Quite happy how it turned out at the end, I was already looking for alternatives but no local engineers were available until next week.

    Currently on boost which is card top ups on the meter but they sent me an email saying everyone is moving to OVO later this year. Seems I haven't been moved over yet which is disappointing. Would have done this for sure

    It's good if you recently done your boiler check, mine is due next month, but was estimated to get it checked by May 2024 which make me lose my warranty on boiler if overdue.

    Call them like I did. Was originally scheduled for April 24, got them coming next week, engineer called earlier and booked me in.

    Bear in mind some boiler manufacturers state any warranty will be invalid if not serviced by a manufacturer accredited engineer. Worcester bosch for example..

    I've been living under a rock and didn't know this. Been getting my new boiler serviced by ovo for 2 years. What's the warranty period on these boilers?

    Are they manufacturer backed? i.e if you hey service your brand new worcester or baxi boiler will the warranty still be valid

    We had our Ovo "Service" today. The guy spent less than 3 minutes in front of the boiler and apparently just switched it on and off (surprise, it works!). I got the strong impression the whole visit was an upselling opportunity. I will not be renewing - even at £1 a month. On top of that, he made my wife feel very uncomfortable and gave her the feeling he was "casing the joint".

    What happens if you leave Ovo before having you annual service done ?

    Need one now, called them several times, they promise a call from engineer that never happens.
    Given low temperatures coming I think I will go for regular service and save this one for next year, but I am not sure I want to stay with OVO any longer ? Should be outside 14 days period by now ...

    Good offer currently with them but just had my service done. Plus I need to change my provider, I doubt I'd be with them for 12 months as cheaper tarrifs available now so need to change. so not sure of I could sign up now and be able to get a service done 12 months later?
