Got this in the Evening Standard yesterday. Tried it and it will upgrade a free account to a Pro account if you login to your account on windscribe.com

Says for new accounts but I've been a free user for like 8 months.

Be careful, if your on a free plan that was part of a special deal (mine is 50gb per month free) when you finish this you will loose the original deal and go back onto the basic 2gb free.

Windscribe have been trying to get people like this for years.

This is ok, But I can't get windscribe to work with any sky or BT sports

Windacribe Settings => Connection => turn on "GPS Spoofing"

When using BT or Sky Apps it uses your GPS for location, you can trick the app by turning this feature on.

This post should come with a massive warning, I entered the code without properly considering it or reading comments and will no doubt lose my free bandwidth allocation at the end of the month. Gutted

I used the free version of this for many, many years. There was a recent paid plan deal that was so cheap I just went ahead and got it, and now I've got two PCs and a mobile using it. My experience has been less than perfect, with so many sites blocking me now. I'm not saying this to put people off as the whole point of a VPN works absolutely fine, and the firewall adds a good amount of protection in disabling your internet before Windscribe has connected you to a node (although this can get annoying as you're sat waiting for a minute or two before you can access the net while Windows settles down).

I would be a little bit careful if you have anything other than the basic 10Gb free plan. If you take this offer up, based on history, it will revert to the basic 10Gb plan afterwards even if your current plan is over 10Gb.

Your school probably blocks VPN for obvious reasons, doesn't mean Windscribe is trash, just that your schools IT know how to prevent their network being used with VPNs

Hi All,

I use a Mac & Windscribe kills my internet - my mac says "You are not connected to the Internet" but as soon as I turn Windscribe off, all is fine? is Windscribe having issues with Mac does anyone know? I need to find a good VPN but cannot live with this kind of issue!
