Autism Friendly Cinema Screenings

4210532_1.jpg
There is a more detailed thread on this here - credit

The typical cinema environment can be stressful for guests with autism, sensory difficulties or learning impairments. Various cinemas hold special autism friendly screenings at selected times. At least once a month Odeon, Cineworld, Vue, Showcase, Scott Cinemas and Everyman show popular films in an autism friendly environment.

Autism-friendly screenings are sometimes called relaxed or sensory-friendly screenings. Adjustments are made to reduce stress and sensory input, such as low lighting and sound, freedom to move and staff trained in autism awareness.

Maybe worth adding a 'Club Lloyds' bank account upgrade? £3 monthly fee to maintain the account, waived each month that you pay in £2,000 or more.

You get a choice of 6 Odeon or Vue tickets. We just booked an iSense movie with Recliner+ option with these tickets.

I dont know if anyone has mentioned this before but the cinema society does discounted tickets and I have found them a little bit cheaper than the Meerkat deal during the week They also do cheaper tickets at the weekend than standard cinema prices. You have to join first and you can do it via the Natwest app or the lidl app (under partner offers). There may be other ways I don't know about but you cannot join directly from their site.

With the cinema society you buy the codes for tickets (1 code per ticket but I have bought 2 codes in one transaction before when I went with a friend).

You can use those codes to then redeem them online at your chosen cinema's website but I found the odeon charge a booking fee to do this so I avoided the booking fee by redeeming the codes for tickets at an order point in the actual cinema.

I've got the usual glut of cineworld; £3 codes for this weekend. If you'd like up to 4 just send me a message. They'll be screenshots so you can avoid the 95p booking fee and just scan them in the foyer if you prefer.

I have a couple of unused 3+ Cineworld tickets if anyone needs them. I don't reply quickly on here, so don't be asking if you need them instantly. First 2 people to ask can have 2 codes each.

UPDATE: Codes are gone, please no more messaging. (edited)

Anyway to get cheap tickets for the Taylor swift thing? Cineworld £3 codes don't seem to work
    Mooney70's avatar
It sounds like there are problems again with this weeks £3 Cineworld ticket codes via the Three+ app. Maybe it's just using them online that's the problem? You could try pre booking in the foyer with a QR code and see if that works ok.
  36. misa426's avatar
Would anyone like a meerkat movies code expiring end of today but you can book movies for next week I think?
I ended up not using it.
