Where they say 'may' be required, they actually mean you 'do' need a secondary payment method
30% off with the Railcard + 25% off the reduced price by using Uber to book and paying with this gift card (15% off the gift card + 10% back in credit) so overall 47.5% off!
Edit: tried again by adding 2x uber gc and it worked this time. Maybe card thinks it's duplicate order that's why it gets declined in short space of time. Who knows. (edited)
