I've now noticed they're produced by silentnight and not Hypnos. I can't seem to find any news or comparitive data? Surely Hypnos was way better? (edited)

I'm in the industry. Hypnos generally wins but this one does have everything you would want and the price is actually quite reasonable. Cooling gel layer in the upper is good for all seasons, responds and offers great comfort (better than memory foam). Mirapocket base layer is based on pocket spring technology and is also the one to get. Medium firm good for back and side sleepers alike (although hourglass figures side sleeping might experience minor discomfort).
Zip off topper is interesting, but will avoid many of the settlement issues that typically crop up with toppers as you can get additional rotations in.

Honestly, it's pretty good for the price. This Hypnos mimics the tension and springs slightly cheaper with a breathable natural layer if you don't want gel foam for whatever reason.

Personally and I own one of these (not by silent night) they are very good for a budget mattress. For better, try John Ryan (that’s our main bed - I sleep in the premier inn when I’m in the dog house or had one too many beers - or we have guests - oddly and coincidentally painted in premier inn colours) (edited)

John Ryan is a really good shout, they an get quite pricey but they're the only people who talk specifically about the GSM quantities in their comfort layers which is important when comparing

Does this have good edge support

Anyone know of a good free trial one with good edge support thanks

This one has edge to edge support with a rigid pocket spring base with a slightly firmer outer edge. Most of the industry now offers sleep trials to some degree on an exchange basis if you are not happy while some bed in a boxes like emma and whatnot will give full refunds. Anything with pocket springs typically has quite good edge support accompanying it. Here is a page of all mattresses offering edge support.

51532029-uQr2Y.jpgWe managed to get a rediculous discount on a country living one. 10k to 1.8k in the end but I’m finding it crazy uncomfortable:( any advice

That's a stunning mattress with A* components in every layer. That said, if the tension is wrong for how you sleep or your body type then you'll experience discomfort. One consideration out of the gate is that you get a 100 night trial with Dreams which, according to their own terms:

"Our 100-Night Comfort Guarantee applies to all our mattresses, including adjustable, made-to-measure, Blue-cross and ex-display mattresses"

There are things that can be done to mitigate the problem to an extent but ultimately if you are not comfortable and have the option to replace for free, good deal or otherwise, you can get a lot of mattress for that money elsewhere in the range.

On this specific mattress, I could see it being a problem if you are a side sleeper with a more hourglass figure, but that's a shot in the dark. there's tons of different metrics on suitability. (edited)

Was torn between this or the rem-fit 600 in a deal on this site, but have gone with this, fingers crossed that they are as comfortable as the ones in hotels. Hot

, do you have any recommendations for a similar mattress and price but in European king size please? Or could I try a super king size mattress on a European bed frame?
