Thanks OP - code 052 gets an additional £5 off. And I’ve tried Topcashback but not very hopeful.

From the looks of those reviews you would be well advised to pay by credit card!

    Bang on

In fact you could/should pay whenever you can with a credit card over a debit card as a matter of routine, simply because of the legal protection offered (you don't get with a debit card = as good as paying with cash)

You can then pay off the CC, moments later if you wish.
Consider this to be PLAN A, where PLAN B is when you pay via PayPal, just an idea

Studio changed the picture of the tv 50" to 32" model for some reason. 50" same as 55" with centre stand.

If this runs Linux, can you install Retroarch, etc on these?

It depends what it means by running Linux, some popular Linux variants are Android, Tizen, WebOS, Amazon FireOS. They aren't a typical Linux distro but they use the Linux kernel. Then we have to ask what is the CPU in this TV and how much available RAM and storage does it have?

I've never had a Smart-TV, having previously relied on a NowTV box for that. Can anyone tell me if you can add streaming services to them, in the same way that you can with the Roku-made boxes? Specifically, I'd be looking to add Disney+, Amazon, and CrunchyRoll, on top of the YouTube and Netflix services already installed.

    Thanks folks. (edited)

I would assume with it being “Linux” and Freeview Play that it will have some form of Android installed — which would mean yes.

However the interface is quite likely to be slow and unpleasant to use. I have a similar TV to this (though TCL) and added an Apple TV I found very cheap on eBay, but something like a Fire TV stick would almost certainly improve performance. Your current NowTV box may well do too depending on how old it is.

This would work v well with a plugged in streaming device - many smart TVs don’t allow you to add more apps

Unicicable support = multiple channel recording at the same time using a single feed cable and a unicable LNB. (edited)
