Was in Morrisons Woking today and saw these by the entrance. Not in a heated or chilled environment, just on a table. Bit weird.

It is because of the so called "pasty tax" which means that if you was to purchase the same chicken but from a heated cabinet it would be subject to 20% vat . That is why they are just left out.

In my experience Morrisons have been the biggest profiteers with inflation, bigger price rises than other supermarkets, more shrinkflation than other super markets then they try to call this a deal.

Can't believe the rip-off merchants at Morrison's get's away with selling small skinny chickens for £4.99 on offer with the normal price at £6.50. I purchased one yesterday to eat today and geez I've been robbed again. It measures 6" by 5" and weighs 758g. If you're considering buying a chicken that's probably died of starvation then think again and go elsewhere.
