Doesn't apply for Veterans Railcard once again. Hate the way that Veterans are excluded from these promotions.

Yes it does, read my post on how to get it?

    • "When you hold a Plus card and buy UK train tickets on TrainPal, you will get extra 2% discount voucher for each UK train ticket order (The voucher applies to your next UK train order and valid for 5 day"

So does that mean 2% off every ticket I buy, or just the next ticket I buy?

Use Uber app to purchase rail tickets, you will get 10% credit within week or so.

As usual nothing for disabled person railcard holders.
    MrShaun_Warburton's avatar
Just pick National railcard from the drop dropdown list and you will get the discount,

This app is horrible and I believe Chinese owned, full of bloated junk points/rewards rubbish!

It shouldnt matter that its chinese owned. It'sstill good for the split ticketing feature.

trainpal app is crap, and when there trains cancellations or changes you don’t get email updates like you do from trainline.

I received an app notification that my train was cancelled, using TrainPal.

Downloaded this app, it looks so dodgy tbh. And any railcard through is only gonna be stored on this app?
    driver8's avatar
I bought my railcard using the TrainPal app, and took a screenshot so it's always to hand.
When using the Trainline app, just tell it which railcard you have.

No idea what or where to find plus gifts- though it has been activated.
    The app is too clutered!

Think I'll stick with LNER and the small kickbacks that some sites give on their bookings (the most recent one I used being Airtime Rewards). Unless I'm missing something, Trainpal's Plus Gifts look like they aren't useful if you are an infrequent traveller or use Advance tickets.

The train now standing at platforms 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 has come in sideways

Not really free for me - it asks me to invite a friend to do this upgrade so I can have it for free. Is it because I didn't buy my railcard through them?
    MrManwelo's avatar
Same. Usual 'invite friend to get this for free' pyramid scheme nonsense

Just tried that Trainpal link. What a con-job!! Flags up 'Only New Users' !! So much for a phishing-line 'Existing 1 Year Railcard .........'

Will most certainly NOT be renewing my Railcard with these con-merchants next year!!

National Railways Railcard may cost me more but at least no up teh garden path con tricks!!

I bought network card from Trainpal. When I try to upgrade, I'm told I can do so by using the app or referring a friend. The app takes you to a page to refer a friend and states that your friend must sign up. There seems to be no way to get ghus for free, if you have bought a railcard.

What is I literally paid the £3 extra 3 days ago 🙃

App remind me of Temu - what’s with all the crazy vouchers and promotions !
    harrythefish's avatar
Not coincidental, Temu, trip.com and Trainpal are all Chinese owned companies, maybe they even use the same app developers.

Works out more expensive than split my fare

2% off train tickets every time of 2% of all tickets within 5 days of activating the offer? (Obviously unlikely people are going to be buying huge amounts in advance?)

Am I reading this right? After the 5 days that's it - this benefit just goes away?
  19. kee66's avatar
    Thanks
  20. ramraideruk's avatar
I just had confirmation from Trainpal. You have to gey a friend to take our a railcard to get this offer.

Doesn't seem to work for current Trainpal customers (I am an existing 1 year Railcard holder), am I going wrong somewhere?
    Anpr-15's avatar
Yeah, had same query , not allowing an existing customer email ID
