If you are currently with Lebara, have fewer than 4 SIMs to the same email address, want to use this plan and still want keep your current number (eventually), here are the porting steps as per my previous comment:
  • buy this plan (wait and get a new Lebara SIM, keep safe for later)
  • request for a PAC code from your existing Lebara plan
  • get a free alternate provider SIM (e.g.: ASDA PAYG SIM, or Three PAYG SIM) (I've been told, but have not tried it myself, that Three have eSIM option during checkout process too!)
  • submit the PAC to the alternate provider, to move your number from Lebara to another provider
  • once the number has ported to the alternate provider, wait 1 day for the number to fully register on their system
  • ask for a PAC from this alternate provider
  • provide this PAC to Lebara (via this Lebara form, or web chat, or call Lebara's customer services), to move the number from alternate provider to Lebara (this new plan).

Any tips for sims for using in Dubai , Qatar Saudia Arabia ?
    Kaisza's avatar
So I’m actually there now (Dubai). When you pass immigration they will give you a free du sim which has 1GB free for one day. I decided on going to the etisalat store and picking up a 22.5GB sim which cost me in GBP 43 however this means I have a uae number and access to the smiles app from which I was able to extract 2 Hala taxi rides with with 25% off worth about £3.50 per ride max capped. 15% of 5 Careem rides worth around £5 per ride so all up you could save £32 odd in taxis. I also used it to get laundry done so I only needed to take half the amount of clothes our family needed (saved £120 on not needing extra luggage) and we did about 18 kilos of laundry for £20 using the smiles app. They picked up washed folded and delivered the clothes back sorted and socks paired in 24 hours.

I have to say the amount of times the taxi drivers called me because they stopped not exactly where I was etc I was glad I had a local number.

Finally also look at entertainer app I paid about £130 but the savings I have are already at £350 with loads of 2 for 1 offers on attractions and food. If you are travelling around the other places they have a GCC one which gives discounts in those places too.

And finally finally . Use a fee free card which will give you a better fx rate. Everyone accepts card, When I needed cash I took some out of the ATMs they also don’t charge a fee.

    Happy travels

Edit: just to add for my partner we got her a nomad eSIM which is roaming on du and it works well too. (edited)

Bought 4...❤️ I use these when travelling across Europe for 3 months in my Motorhome.. super cheap..

Great idea. I’ve got a few Euro MoHo trips this year and 15gb a month will be tight.

How quickly can 15 GBs of data be depleted with 5g?
    BD71's avatar
It's not about 4g or 5g, its a case of how much you use. I have 4 x sims on this plan with Lebara & have never used more than half. Most places have free wi-fi, so you actually never use that much data
  4. MrsBucket's avatar
I’m currently on Lebara but out of my promo period - is the best way to get this promo to order this now, and also order a cheap 30 day sim from a different network (and port to the other network, then port back to lebara immediately afterwards)? Thanks

Is it still within 90 days you have to activate  the sim
    BondF's avatar
I hade a SIM cancelled by them after 30 days because I didn't activate SIM,and an automatic refund.

Lebara getting worst and worst...too many problems with WIFI calling, it is off most of the time. Starting this year I am getting many dropped calls after few minutes of conversation. 5G coverage is almost non existent(Vodafone fault) and on 4G speeds are below acceptable. I am in Norwich right now at friends and just done speedtest, wow, 2mbps. Even upload is faster. And Norwich is not some small village. When my current deal expire I won't renew.

    paradesock's avatar
Completely agree, slowest 4g I've had, average downloads under 2Mbps on speed tests. Most of the time I struggle to get internet when out and about. 5g great when it actually connects. I also have had several issues with other people not being able to hear me after a few minutes on a call, which didn't happen with my last provider.

Yes it's cheap... But I'm looking to move away

    Thanks OP
How do people manage to sign up using the same email address.
I have other Lebara Sims, and these deals always say new customer only.
The way round that is to use a different/new email address.each time. All other details, name, address, payment can remain the same.
I have run out of email addresses from using various Sims in the past. So to save the faff of signing up for a new email, how do you get Lebara to accept more than one sim on the same email address?
    davidw59's avatar
Sign into your Lebara account via your web browser. Then open a new tab and navigate to the deal. Progress to order the new SIM, and after you enter the first bit of info the system will recognise you and auto fill in the rest. Very easy.

Is the process of transferring your number over an easy process? I'm very tempted to switch from my 02 to this
    student.223's avatar
    Super simple

    1) Order the Lebara sim
    2) Text just the word ' PAC ' to 65075 from your 02 sim. The PAC should arrive via text within a few minutes.
    3) Once the Lebara sim arrives, follow the steps at this link; filling in the necessary details including the PAC that 02 sent.
    4) If the form is filled before 5pm (Mon to Fri) then the number should move from 02 to Lebara the next working day.

If you cancel/change to a different provider say after 4 months, do you lose the promotional offer for the historic months and have to pay full price for all the months used?
    sdduk's avatar
No once you port your number to another Provider your account closes once the number goes over.
Just before you move your number just turn off the auto payment in your Lebara account they can't take any money then.
  10. steevieboy4u's avatar
Just beware. I ported backwards & forwards via a free Asda SIM and it took almost 4 days and 3 phone calls 🤦🏼‍♂️

My current contract is ending on 17th May.
Can I order this now and activate later to port my existing number?
    Bentbaby's avatar
It says you have to activate the new Lebara sim within 30 days max, otherwise the sim will automatically be cancelled and you'll be refunded.

Worst customer service ever. Can’t even get PAC requests done correctly. Then after a couple of months, it stops working.
    Sheldontheduck's avatar
Gundaa, I beg to differ, I have done 3 sim changes with them and have had good service also have had refunds instantly. Not sure when you you accessed CS, but last 1 year I spoke to SC few times and has always been prompt and good to my satisfaction. BTW for pac did you know that you don't need CS, just text from your phone the one that is being ported to 65075 and Word Pac. Also use the App for most things example increase data, leaving, DD, how much you've used and much more. The App is very clean and easy to navigate, unlike my Halifax Bank..lol

I’m on a similar deal with Lebara that’s just gone back to full price … anyway of getting this deal without having to port to another provider then port back?
    _Barry_'s avatar
You can follow the steps on this already posted deal to port out to a payg sim and back in again

    lidds's avatar
You sure it's locked? Been illegal to sell carrier locked phones in the UK for years now

I've already got it for a few days. One issue I noticed is the internet connection doesn't seem to work properly with the default lebara APN settings. This can be resolved by manually setting it to use Vodafone APN instead. Hope this helps anyone facing the same issue.
    Professor_Chaos's avatar
Correct. But it seems to work now for me even with Lebara settinfs

one thing I noticed , have Lebara APN set if roaming otherwise roaming won’t work - as I spent a good few hours working out how to fix recently in Lanzarotte
  18. jason2iwu's avatar
If I already have a lebara sim and get this as an additional sim, will lebara take any issue with porting the old number to the new after a few weeks?
    xxbluedragonxx's avatar
It should be fine - you port out the other sim number to another provider PAYG sim (eg 3), then port it in to your new Lebara sim (edited)

    Hi ... im confused..
So i have 100 international minutes to use in HONG KONG... as told by other members here on hotukdeals, i can make local calls...
So does that means I have roaming in Hong Kong? And can i use my data there for free?
Cheers.. all this technology confuses me.. going for a holiday there later on in the year.
    kchlai's avatar
I think it's a 100 minutes to call the locations from the UK, rather than use it in the country where your going.

I just let my dad use it up each month when he calls his relatives in HK and I can see my international minutes being deducted in myLebara app

This deal is from MSE and initial expiry date was 6th April. They now changed the date to 10th April. Normally they used to renew the deal by at least a month, but this time they only added another 4 days

I'm looking for a SIM for Egypt, first time out of EU for a while so not having data included is a bit of a shock. Any tips?
    bryanbirka's avatar
No your WhatsApp works as normal. so you'll be fine if you mainly use that for calls and messages. I've actually done it at Cairo airport recently aswell as a couple of times in the far east.
  22. Vickyobrats's avatar
Does this work for EU roaming without adding additional roaming pack?
    Bolto911's avatar
Yes, just back from Lanzarote using this sim and roaming worked no problem. The roaming packs are for when you use up your existing allowance. Here’s the text I received when I landed:

“Welcome to SPAIN. You can use all your plan in the EU at no extra cost (upto 30GB if on an unlimited data plan). If you finish your plan allowance while abroad, buy a roaming add-on with data and mins to stay connected.” (edited)
  23. _Barry_'s avatar
Isn't this deal the same as this one? Been keeping an eye on it as sims up for renewal end of the month.

Mods allow because that previous post was posted on 6th Feb.

If it's more than 2 calendar months ago, I think you can post again.

If rules changed, I'm sure I'll be corrected.

OP quoted the rules in one of his responses earlier. (edited)

Does anyone know if the inclusive allowances work in India please? Not clear on their website
    Sheldontheduck's avatar
Hi, Nnnnssss, I am just back from India two weeks ago and the Lebara 100-minute allowance was perfect for me worked well and I had a 20 GB allowance, therefore did not need to buy a local sim either, did not need to ask for wifi passwords at hotels and restaurants, was great, I used my data for google maps to help Tuktuk guys as well, showing were I needed to go .... get it, you'll be ok.
  25. Random_Purchase's avatar
I'm under contract with EE who now appear to charge £25 per month for EU roaming. I'm planning some foreign trips this summer, would the following work to get me up 6 months of EU data roaming at 99p per month?

Switch from physical SIM to e-SIM for my EE account.
Add the Lebara physical SIM to my phone.
Switch between the accounts whilst abroad to get the Lebara included data roaming.
Cancel the Lebara contract after 6 months.
    itsmewhoami's avatar
    Yes, that should work.

If your phone can take 2 physical SIM, you can even leave your current EE physical SIM as is. Just need to toggle the EE SIM to flight mode when aboard, to avoid EE roaming charges.

Note, you need go activate the Lebara SIM, when you're still in ths UK, within 30 days of your order.
  26. sdduk's avatar
If you want to put another sim on your account use your normal Lebara email and when you sign-up for the new sim it will come up (This email address already registered, Please login to complete the purchase)
That's what i did just now when ordering another sim and hopefully it will work for anyone else.
  27. ash1eigh's avatar
Can I get this contract with an eSIM? Can’t see anything when checking out
    sbodyontheweb's avatar
Esim are PITA, when you change phone they dont all transfer, lost my number with lyca because of that, but also was lucky to recover it. Next time ill order a normal sim much more reliable

This is a great deal! Reminds me of the old 3 free international roaming offer. The 100 minutes of calling to international numbers is the cherry on top!
    itsmewhoami's avatar
But the old Three free international roaming offer ("Feel like home" proposition) included destinations wider than non EU countries, like Australia, Hong Kong etc.

If you still fancy that, I think Three Pay As You Go SIM with AddOns can still be used in some of those "non EU but still included in free roaming destinations".

30 days ago so poster up late to farm the heat. 🧑‍🌾
  32. Professor_Chaos's avatar
The three port out and in only works for one email address and they don’t accept gmail aliases

also for those doing multiple port out and in be careful that if your ported out to three for example already before they only allow you to do this once a year so that’s why I’m really hesitant to do this port out and back in again

last time I did this, one of my sims took over two weeks to port back in to Lebara and I was told it was a port issue .

same goes with Asda I think. Do this too many times in a year and you’ll have problems

this is why, for now, I don’t think it’s worth the bother and hassle of doing the port dance on a main number for the sake of a few quid
by all means do it but be prepared for things to go wrong

edit: happy to be corrected if others have had a different experience to above  (edited)
