Charged me twice on their website due to their own fault, when paying for a plan, they did not want to refund me and said they will offer me the plan twice in a month….unlimited plan…., blocked my number and held it “hostage” to make me pay to get it unblocked and let’s not forget that I was lied by their staff to keep me not porting my number.
Gave up on that number, went for another provided and never looked back. There are other networks that offer same service for same money. I would definitely not recommend them.
All this after 7 years with them. (edited)
But you can't argue with the price!
Thankfully haven't had any issues with either yet, but think I'm going to move to a more established provider just for calls and texts when my current deal ends, then get a cheap data SIM like this to put in my second SIM slot.
1) Not following account activation instructions on their order confirmation email.
2) Not setting the correct APN settings for mobile data.
3) Using these SIMs to port out and back in to Lebara by requesting a PAC on the same day as number porting took place and locking their account as they were too quick to order it.
4) Trying to change payment method to PayPal on these affiliate offers during the first 6 month offer period and losing their discount because they made an account change that cancelled auto renewal.
Could Lyca’s systems possibly be better to make it clearer and avoid these things being a problem? Yes. But still, if you do stuff correctly and don’t mess with your account everything is fine.
And if you do ever need to contact them, I personally find a DM on their Twitter works best to reach them without hassle.
A little while later the same thing happened to the second sim. They say there's a problem with the payment and then your sim is dead unless you pay their full price.
I didn't wait for it to happen a third time - I've swapped that one out months before the end of the deal because it's such a hassle when it happens with no notice and it's happened too many times to me and other people for it to be bad luck.
Also, we went on holiday and all 3 of our sims worked initially but one by one they stopped after a few days, despite not using much data. So they were unreliable abroad, too.
I'd never use them now. If you get a deal with them then there's a good chance your sim will be cut off with no warning after a short while and they'll not reinstate your deal.
Never again.

If you are being asked for a PAC Code you're on the wrong page for registration.
5 gb - 5.85
10gb - 5.99
EDIT : Strange noticing how Lyca marketing works, 10gb after 6 months is £5.85 pm while 5gb after 6 months is £5.99. Guess it doesn't affect canny HUKD users because they invariably move to greener pastures after six months or even before! (edited)
Customer care asked me to send all the screen shots, it's been more than 10 days, back office team is still working on it.
Worse is when I try to register my lyca sim to cancel it I get a message saying number not recognised, I've been on chat countless times and it just says we don't have a human available right now. Utter Garbage.
I don't think so...
