This is the problem with all these network operators, they're all incompetent it's just a question of how bad. I've been with ID mobile and now I'm with LycaMobile and yeah... they're really terrible companies. I would expect Spusu to be more of the same, so it ultimately comes down to price.

Also, don't be fooled by big name networks as well "three" and "EE" means absolutely nothing when dealing with cheapo operators because you're getting the sludge at the bottom of the barrel of their priority. If you want a good connection then go with the networks directly, not the third party operators. They only sell the dregs of that service. Of course companies like EE will bleed you dry for it (and getting worse every time CPI+ 3.9% shenanigans hit)

Until Ofcom grow a backbone and slap heavy regulation on these cowboys, I'm afraid mobiles and broadband will continue to be a giant swindle.

I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for ofcom to take action, look at what royal mail senior management have got away with, deliberately understaffing the amount of posties for years now, resulting in mail being set aside whilst parcels are given priority.

Previous postings for this company have not had good things to say about them. Dropped and missed calls being the main issues.
Shame as it seems like a decent option if only it worked properly

Further to above comments regarding connection issues there's a £1 for 5gb for 3 months offer available if anyone wants to test it out before spending more, it's available as esim as well which could be handy.

I've got this and can confirm having data connectivity issues with my older Google Pixel 3 where this SIM resides in.

There's also ongoing issues with OTP (one time password) SMS from various corporates including several UK banks not being deliverable to Spusu numbers. Spusu are aware and claim they are waiting for OFCOM (Office of Comedians) to fix the issue, which is a laugh in itself. (edited)

Got my wife on a £1 SIM Spusu deal and she tells that she's getting missed calls

Is anyone able to explain what's that about? (edited)

Pop on the ISP Review website “mobile wireless” forum and post there, some very clued up posters there, they might be able to help.

EE have recently switched off their 3G and that’s a guess.

Wifi calling only available on iPhone and Samsung devices?

There’s a few people taking wild guesses at how MVNO’s work and being a bit creative with their facts.

I’ve been on a allegedly “dredged” 😜 low priority service from 1p Mobile and it’s virtually the same as EE.

I was with Spusu and the lack of HD calling and issues with OTP codes (mine was NHS and 7726 spam reporting) made me leave, overall their customer service was good plus speeds and coverage are identical to EE.

The dropped calls issue is mainly on eSIM, physical SIMs reportedly don’t have this problem.

Ignore mobile spot reviewers like the person a few posts up, these are usually “price first, service second” customers who blame the network for their mistakes, it’s a rolling contract so give them a try - you can always leave.

I've been with 1p Mobile for a few months and have had no issues.

I was previously with EE and haven't noticed any difference

I don't like to be negative as they're there to make money like any business but the network service is appalling. I have three Sims in two different locations and people are just unable to get hold of you, even Spusu to Spusu. Absolutely no good to anyone and particularly concerning when you've put the SIM in your elderly father's phone and he's now "not available". Back to Lebara. (edited)

Would not recommend. Poor speeds even at home and as others have said sometimes the call drops mid-conversation or people can't get through to you at all.

I read somewhere they charge £4 if you leave within 30 days, is that true?
