I honestly just didn’t like the visuals at all and the story was so slow and boring at the start I couldn’t justify dealing with the worst mechanics I’ve felt in years in hopes that it’d eventually get interesting. Just an overall very bad game imo. Especially compared to the other games that have been put on Xbox game pass recently

Barryburton97

That's a bit harsh. It is a pretty basic game, granted, it feels more like a PS3 title in terms of the mechanics and controls. However it's all about the visuals, atmosphere and story which are top notch.

vanita_

Absolutely shocking game with god awful mechanics and really REALLY boring gameplay. Especially coming fresh off of NieR and RDR2, A Plague Tale was abysmal.

Jase87

I enjoyed the start... The intro is powerful and sets up a great story, however it falls flat pretty quickly. Just a bit dull and repetitive overall. Not a bad game by any means and there is a lot of potential in there that I hope the devs can revisit someday. For me, I'm glad i played it on Games Pass as it's not really worth owning.

Ding2014

Personally i dont think it will be ps plus any time soon, theres just some publishers that dont seem to do it, and keep their prices high all the time. Like this game, Vampyr, Remnant from the ashes, and Greedfall developed by Spyders. They hardly budge on prices, especially physical.

Cannot recommend this game enough, easily my favourite game of last year. The voice acting is fantastic, it really brings the characters to life. Well worth the £11.99. I hear they are already working on a sequel (though Asobo has Microsoft's Flight Simulator to finish first, which is due in August)

JayITFC

Apologies I was confusing it with Shadow Tactics.

Poch

What nonsense It's a really good atmospheric game which I need to get back to. Though it has made me dislike rats even more! That and rotten pigs (horror)

Wriggy

Same for me!

fatcatsatonthemat

Really? It's still showing in the gamepass app for me. For both PC and console.

Just finished it on game pass last night - very enjoyable (y) . It picks up speed 2/3rds in, and keeps getting better. The gameplay is TLOU/Styx with the esthetic of the Witcher 3. It doesn't outstay it's welcome like TLOU2, it can be wrapped up over a weekend. The graphics feels next gen, very well done overall.

gemvis

Great game and currently on gamepass.

Terrible AI, terrible puzzles that game will tell you what to do. Boss fights are pathetic. It's a stealth game that doesn't do stealth right. I personally hate it for this sort of money, blah...

Hobzdarva

Worth the price if you don't have game pass.

ttttd

Obligatory "it's on game pass and it's a short single player without much replay value" post.

steveideas

Seriously fantastic game. It's not super challenging, but the atmosphere is incredible and the story is well acted and hits you right in the feels.

Excellent price for a lovely little game :)
ScarboroughFair

Im a few hours in and i think its real hidden gem.

Deckard2049

Loved this game

gibsie

I played the demo and while ibappreciated it I didn't actually enjoy it. So I watched a YouTube playthrough and that was good enough for me. There didn't seem to be as much rock tossing distraction in the rest of the game as there was near the start though so I might've enjoyed actually playing it properly.

en3sge

This is definitely the game for you then. Sit back and enjoy the journey without worrying too much how you will get there. Pretty much just keep the up button pressed and you are good :)

mattwebster051

I have just literally started the game and on chapter 2. If it's like this then I'm going to continue. I need something that doesn't take much thinking. My children fry my head by the time I get a chance to play my Xbox in the evening.

I'm the same. Don't care what your biting point is.... But wow, what an image!

dkj255

I'm not much of a gamer and my reactions and reflexes are far too slow to play most action games, however I'm loving this one. Be warned there's no difficulty settings or option to skip the hard bits so it can be a slog to progress in several places, but you do eventually get there. A lot of this game is based around stealth and sneaking past soldiers rather than out-and-out combat with them so some players (like my son) would soon be bored of it. Other than that it feels a lot like the Uncharted series but more graphic in it's violence: Amicia often gets impaled with a sword or spear under my hamfisted control and rats swarm and eat people alive like those scarab beetles on The Mummy! Language is fairly frequent use of the F-word from the soldiers and other characters, but there appears to be no sexual content that I've noticed. Not sure if I'd buy the game at this price as I think replay value might be limited (and I'm tight-fisted), but if you've got Game Pass then I recommend you at least try it out.

robodan918

ah game pass the modern video game rental service

Remus81

I wish it didn't wind me up so much when people inform us that the price hasn't hit their 'biting point' yet, as if that information is somehow important to others. But then I just picture them at a car boot sale dressed in a faded Atari shirt with shorts that are too small and a neon blue bumbag wrapped around their rotund waistline whilst haggling over the price of an old cassette game and I chuckle to myself

RightSezPez

Thanks OP - Cheapest around currently! Still not quite at my bite point, waiting for £10 too.

decent game but I wouldn't pay money for it you may aswell get gamepass if you have 3 years of gold you can convert it to gamepass then have gamepass for three years and save a fortune that is what I did anyway :)

JustRocket

Takes about 10 hours to finish. Would be far better value getting 3 months gamepass for around the same price if you really wanna play this

Andras_Bikadi

It is a pretty good game. I really enjoyed it. Playing it through without being focused on the achievements I have collected about half of them. That means if you don't like to spoil the fun with watching a walkthrough you will need to play it twice to get all the achievements. Pretty dark story. No unexpected twist in it. The visuals are decent too. Would not consider to play it over and over again though.

Paul_93R

I enjoyed it but it's on gamepass. If you don't have gamepass get a trial and play it. I wouldn't buy it as I'd not play through it again. Tenner is about what it's worth imo.

Probably420Stoned

A lot of people rave about this game.... i bought it because of that but just can't get into it...very basic mechanics, good graphics...story line is semi boring in my opinion too. More of a cinematic game if you have the Pro/X 4k tv set up.

I was too late promo is over.

freedms_stain

I'm playing this game and really enjoying it, but beware that it's more of an interactive story than a "game". If you're looking for action adventure, this ain't it. The gameplay is heavily based on stealth and very simple puzzles. Lots of hand holding, but does a good job of making you care about the fates of Amicia and Hugo.

Tetsumi

This is on the Game Pass for PC - its £3.99 for a month but might get some kind of new customer deal, I paid £1 for my first month.. Probably worth signing up to that and then playing it and cancelling after if you want. Like "Fubsy" said, not much replayability. EDIT: Added heat none the less.

Fubsy

Took me 13 hours to play through over the past few weeks on Game Pass for PC which cost me a couple of quid for 3 months. It's the sort of game you won't replay, so why buy it?

Dominic_Osborne

This game is awesome well worth every penny, hopefully it goes to the dev's? Really enjoying it. Long live SP games

https://forums.cdprojektred.com/index.php?threads/important-news-regarding-cyberpunk-2077-release-date.11021810/page-19#post-11857693 “Cory Barlog hit the nail on the head. Of course we're optimizing for the XBox One, and for the Playstation, and for the PC, because that's what you do in the last stretches of game development. While the game is made, lots of things are unoptimized, because they're all in flux, changing, and still not finished. So simple answers like "They delayed the game because of X" might make for a good rumor, but don't hold a lot of truth. There's always many reasons. Among them, and I can speak for myself, simply fixing bugs, so the game is as polished as possible. No hidden agendas, just working on making the game better.”

ThePointyEnd

I agree Gears 5 was better. I hated Gears 4 but I did enjoy Gears 5 single player for the most part and yeah it looked incredible.

JKTS9612

Yeah Halo has been a let down but hoping Infinite is much better, I tried the Alpha of Bleeding Edge and it pleasantly surprised me, I absolutely loved Hellblade I actually bought that on release before it hit Game Pass, and Gears 5 had some great changes compared to the previous games and it definitely took advantage of the X's hardware, I hope Fable 4 is decent when it's finally released
