Thanks for linking me to that documentary, I watched it yesterday. It was pretty well made, seemed to focus more on Portsmouth FC. I've got to say that, as an outsider who's favourite sport isn't football, so I don't take football too seriously, the documentary made Portsmouth FC fans look like a bunch of thugs. No doubt this hard image will be popular among some football fans but for most people, hooliganism is nothing to be proud of. What kind of a picture does this paint of the city? It's hardly welcoming lol. I have family that live there too, including my young nieces and nephews. Watching that I'm concerned for their welfare in case they mention to people where I live. It's nice to see Southampton was portrayed in a positive light and the people here aren't a bunch of thugs. ;)
The Huddersfield game at Wembley was one of the worst games I've ever seen as a hudds fan. A bit embarrassing 😣
I would rather rank the clubs on the impact they've had on English football. I've honestly never heard the cockney slurs. It's a genuine accent, definitely has that sound to it, so although they're obviously taking the piss there is some truth to it. To be honest, both places have odd sounding accents. We have that London thing going on but with a country sounding twang (Hampshire hog), it's a Southampton accent that almost sounds rough and dirty, like someone from Wiltshire with their knuckles dragging on the floor lol. It's not a bad accent though don't get me wrong, almost sounds like a very hard nosed type from Bristol.
List of football clubs in England by competitive honours won Pompey are way above them! "My City Could Beat Up Your City" | Derby Days South Coast | Portsmouth v Southampton (Good YouTube Documentary on the two cities) Plastic cockneys & Cockney Island are more hurtful than "skates" which is a Pompey slur which they copied from our local lingo, sad really
It depends what you're after really. Southampton is a very green city, it's one of the greenest in the country. Some people don't realise this as they only visit the city centre, or head toward St Marys for the football. Portsea Isle (I say that as Portsmouth includes the bits outside) is very urban, it's probably the most urban place in the country outside of London. It's a great place to visit mainly due to Southsea, Old Portsmouth, Gunwharf and the historic dockyard but to live? No thanks. I'd live in Southsea sure but it's bloody expensive, it's definitely more bohemian than Southampton on the whole but there's loads of decent places to live in Southampton on a budget, although the east side of the water is a bit dead admittedly. Moreover Southampton is the economic driver of the region, it's where most of the jobs and money are. In that sense they are very different cities, Southampton is one built on trade, Portsmouth built around the naval port. Therefore in Portsmouth you literally have generations of people who worked in the navy, I mean the main Southampton docks has only been around since the 1970s. And whilst Southampton is a city it only became one in the 1960s, this partly explains why the city centre is so small compared to similarly sized cities.
Dont worry we are on our way to help lighten the load
I agree. It was an absolute cock up.
It's a shame it's only to convert English fans. I could have traded my Juventus jersey. I suppose I could disguise my Italian black and white striped shirt by cutting off the logo from a packet of Young's extra large battered cod and covering over the Jeep sponsorship, and then printing out the Grimsby badge to cover over the relatively new Juventus badge that looks like a sideways penis.
GTFC are the strongest team in the Football League. We have to be because we're holding up all the rest of them.
Recently? George Square, Glasgow. In last couple years, notably, Edinburgh, Aberdeen landmarks. Few stadiums lovely little rugby park getting a tough time. The old club were just as prolific, ask Manchester police. No agenda here, just an observation based on what I've witnessed first hand and read in papers.

Worth around £5
Fair enough. I don’t collect stuff like this myself or even follow football, so was just wondering.
Is that an actual whole shirt or just a piece of shirt or just a printed copy of a shirt???
It could be because the lad's only 20, and could be signing City shirts regularly for the next 10+ years. Combine that with City's small fanbase, and supply might well outstrip demand, making this worthless.....

im guessing the framing business went out of business if you was paying £50+ for frame and mount?
Also take £50+ off for the frame and mount, (I used to run a picture framing shop) so £90 for the signature, wish I could sell my signature for that much, one signature a day and I'd be happy at the end of the week :)
