Looks to be right as BT sent us a new number with the full order details email

Not unhappy as it's a cool 5 digit number, just have to tell a few people & hopefully a lot fewer nuisance calls

I had to leave it a few days until order was completely 'closed' but yes, it let me do it. Was a nightmare to cancel though.
Looks like we got a new landline number, happy enough with that , esp as we have gone down from 6 digits to 5! (it's pot luck, about 70/30% round here on 5/ or 6 digits).

Thanks - yep, they won't cover the boiler without a flue inspection hatch …Thanks - yep, they won't cover the boiler without a flue inspection hatch or some way to get into the roof to inspect the flue, a legal requirement or something now they said. So he immediately slapped a 'don't use this boiler' type sticker on it (which he said I could remove of course as he was more than confident nothing was wrong with the flue) asked me to sign a waiver and then proceeded with the service and to check other things. The boiler was well within all manufacturer parameters but 'computer said no' because of the lack of a flue inspection - which he knew about straight away

Do you have a commercial property
A boiler is expected to last 10-15 years. Cost of replacement including parts and labour between £2000 to £3000.

This "deal" does not make economic or financial sense

Consider that the likelihood is that your boiler would only need servicing/troubleshooting towards the end of its 10/15 year life and you are paying an awful lot of money for perhaps one or 2 visits. That is £3840 for 2 visits!!!

British gas wont touch anything over 15 years old and will start complaining about lack of parts/the age of your boiler once it is 8 years old.

I paid £80 for a local boiler repair person to replace the clogged up parts on my 15 year old boiler and it is as good as new - all that just for a little over the excess on this "deal"

Bank transfer from halifax to the card takes about 2 hours, and is free, I've never had any issues using the card, occasionally the transfer takes longer which I guess could be seen as a little frightening if you're dependent on it but it always shows up.They have pretty decent cashback rates that seem to be paid every one to two months, 6% for m&s for example.Overall I'd recommend them, but I'd never ever put a load of money on to it, never more than £100 at a time anyway.

Beware. It's very common to get "unauthorised transactions" with this card, and you will never get your money back - even if you open a dispute. Plus, you end up paying £0.99 whenever you add funds to the card or withdraw via an ATM!

Monzo is a far better option. Although you initially have to load £100 on the card, this can be withdrawn via any ATM a couple of days later. You get an excellent app, and there are no fees to pay. Best of all, I've never had any unauthorised transactions (aka theft) with Monzo, ubnlike Pockit.

I bought in for under £10/month what could go wrong but it is Soooo SLOW, my old Sky 13Gb was better than this but I guess for the price it will have to do for a year. Might consider getting a second line now or maybe a router upgrade will do it.
I've filled the claim form online and said dispatched 20th June and still nothing. It says you get an email with an activation code too but havent got that yet so they cannot blame the postal service. I've emailed them but looks like I will have to go down the forum complaints route or ASA advertising standards agent. When I did the sky friend referral I got the card within 14 day's.

Thanks!
I tried to spend my remaining balance by topping up my Amazon account but adding the card to Amazon triggered a £1 pre-authorised spend on my BT card which reduced the balance by £1.

Then Amazon requested the full balance which was no longer available as Amazon had pre-authorised the £1 effectively reducing my balance by £1

Retrying with a top £1 less than my balance...

The expiry date is one year from date of issue so should be ok, but worth checking.

ONLINE EXCLUSIVE: **BT Total Entertainment** - 1TB Youview+ Box (recently updated to new HTML5 interface) - Full BT Sports HD package with dedicated 4K channel - Complete Freeview… Read more
Channel selection is very poor, quality of box and remote is cheap. Menu system takes a bit of getting used to, not quite as friendly as some. Mine is pretty unreliable, box crashes quite often (although they state there is nothing wrong with it). I have the option 2 fibre, and it cant cope as well as the equivalent sky speed (seems to have a major conflict when my son is watching Netflix through his xbox, everything else just buffers).
Good for the HD/4K channels, but as soon as your reduced price is up, get rid of it.

They also reneged on the initial deal I booked online - said they'd only respect the terms if I took 18 months rather than the 12 which was the deal, which was straightforward breach of contract. Awful company which give Vodafone a good name.

Just to add balance, my unlimited 76mb runs between 60-66. This costs me £18 a month with free weekend calls. My dealings with customer services has, on the whole, been straight forward.

Must have signed up to too many porn sites...

Got both cards and prefer Monzo...when I was in the USA using Revolut the card would decline the first time and go through the second but charge me twice and i'd have to wait for them to cancel the first transaction, did it for about 4 or 5 days, since then i've got a Monzo card and it seems much more reliable...although I did like that you can exchange the money on Rev and lock in the exchange rate since it seems to drop every time Teresa May makes a speech...

I have a golden ticket for Monzo if anyone wants an account without having to wait, pm me.

Yes and yes
If I pay line rental in advance would the cashback track and also can they put the price up in the middle of the contract
Isn't the Mastercard reward a bit misleading as deal ends in 3 days? And meant to apply for card when service has gone live. By which time the £100 Mastercard will have been replaced by a lower amount version.
The offer I took was £100 cash back via quidco which paid out on Sunday and a £200 voucher whic is due to arrive by the 30th may fingers crossed. I'm going to try the online chat today to double check it is definately coming
I went for a £150 card + £50 cashback - online said nothing eligible - eventually on querying promised the £150 card - still trying to get the cashback - they say I am ineligible. Lots of people seem to have this problem - BEWARE BT.
