Sony’s premium true wireless noise cancelling ear-buds. Cutting-edge technology delivers premium sound quality and superb noise cancelling, reducing external noise over a wide bandwidth, from low to high frequencies. Lasting for up to 24 hours of noise-cancelled music with the included charging carry case, they’re also IPX4-rated water and sweat-resistant, so are ideal wireless sports headphones, great for running and gym workouts, able to withstand the rigours of your busy and active life.

Truly wireless listening
With two independent ear-buds fitting comfortably and securely in your ears, not a single wire gets in your way. Feel the inspiring freedom of truly wire-free listening.

Astonishing sound quality
With Sony’s Dynamic Driver X, you’ll experience richer vocals and enhanced fine detail. Their HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN2e and Integrated Processor V2 ensure low distortion and crystal-clear audio reproduction. Other premium sound technologies include Hi-Resolution Audio Wireless, DSEE Extreme to upscale your music, and immersive 360 Reality Audio.

Multipoint connection
You can connect these headphones to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously, so you can wait for an incoming call on one device while listening to music on the other.

Superb call quality
Thanks to an AI-based noise reduction algorithm and bone conduction sensors, your voice comes through clear and naturally, even in a noisy environment. And if you’re outdoors, the wind noise reduction structure minimises any wind whooshes, so you'll always be heard.

Small …beautifully designed
These headphones feel luxurious, with a glossy texture, ultra-comfortable fit, and ergonomic design shaped to perfectly match the human ear. Sony’s Noise Isolation Earbud Tips are included (in four different sizes) so you can find just the right fit.

Keep listening all day
You can enjoy up to 24 hours of battery life (8 hours from the earbuds, plus another 16 hours with the included charging case), quick charging, and they’re wireless charging compatible.

IPX4 Water-resistant
Rated IPX4 for water-resistance, the WF-1000XM5 are durable wireless sports headphones, great for running and gym workouts, so will fit in with your active life, resisting moisture, splashes and sweat.

Good deal so voted hot but personally I'm never buying a pair of Sony headphones again. My XM4 battery drain issue got so bad they lasted less than 10 minutes when fully charged. Sony refused to do anything about it without me paying for the repair (conveniently the battery drain got terrible right after the 2 year warranty period). John Lewis also refused to help. Completely put me off Sony headphones and John Lewis' customer support.

It’s pretty irritating for expensive headphones to pack up that quick. You’d expect at least 4 to 5 years of continuous function for Sony prices.

If you think Sony are unreliable, don’t go near the Jabra wireless earbuds. I ended up using the John Lewis warranty 3 times over for one original purchase. All three sets packed up after a year almost like clockwork with different issues each time. I broke the cycle after the 3rd failure by choosing a pair Pixel buds pro which have lasted much better.

How are these compared to the XM4s?

Pretty similar, I would be happy with my XM4 if the battery didn't go kaput.

I do think the ANC is not as good as the XM4. But I'm not using the stock tips.

Nobody likes these, partially because of battery drain right?

    Wasn't that the M4s though?

Got them over 4 months now. No battery drain problem. I had with xm4 yes but over 2 years so still to come

    Are these any good?

Had loads of £100 in ear headphones but decided to push the boat out and buy these (£260) well worth the extra £ even just for the sound quality. Obviously don't know about longevity yet

Can I order, try and see if it fits me. Than maybe return to store or online if it doesn't? Because I would have opened/broken the seal of the package?

    Thanks
