Well worth the 1TB imo for retention of value, for an extra £100ish.
There's barely any S23 Ultra 1TB on ebay and they're bidding near 800.
I used topcashback + student discount, will sell the watch, basically getting this phone near free.

I've had mine since launch last year and it's the first phone I've not even realised I've had a year. Absolutely zero problems or slowdown. (edited)
Most flagship phones from 4 years ago will still hold up today minus battery life. It's ridiculous how people upgrade every single year.
I've had my S20 FE 5G for nearly three years now and apart from the battery life slowing down its still blazing fast. I can run emulators on it at full speed and play PS1, PS2 and GC games with zero problems.
It cost me £500 brand new. I'm going to keep it for at least another year and then decide if it's worth upgrading after that. Phones are doing absolutely nothing new these days to justify annual releases and their exorbitant price points.- Would be great if you could pre filter out the word code when reading these messages

I had the same ask as I had only for 50£ without accessories, so I did as suggested by , to CHAT via the website with the Customer Service team under the *Help to order* section. BE KIND, POLITE, EXTRA FRIENDLY and tell them that you are looking to place an order to get an S24 but you HAVE NOT RECEIVED the email with the Voucher/Code from the "UNPACKING DAY", and if everything goes well they will give you one directly by CHAT.

Mine has been preparing dispatch since Friday. Someone in the UK on Reddit said they received it yesterday.
I suspect preparing for dispatch means they have parceled our orders up ready for delivery on the 24th. At least that's what i'm hoping. (edited)
£600 for any S23 Ultra is pretty decent trade-in already.
It's kinda glitch for EPP/Student stores since usually the trade-in price in those stores are around £200 lower than the retail online store. (edited)
I paid £580 for mu used S23U :-) But I don't need new phone and from what I read, zoom is only x5 now and I love x10 lens. (edited)- Half price emails have just gone out for BT/EE employees on all the S24 series line. So £624.50 for the 256gb version of the S24 Ultra, not sure if you’d still qualify for the free watch as terms say staff discounts exclude that promotion.

I didn't get my code either, I contacted CS using Samsung shop app and they generated a £50 voucher for me.
Placed my order using the student store with code S24SAVE (credit to above for the code) and the £50 code they gave me. For the £50 this needs to be applied on the payment screen.
You can't stack the S24GW code as well but you can claim for it afterwards using this site

How does this offer compare to the s23U launch and also the s23U student EPP offer back in I think May which was about £1100 for 512GB plus £200 min trade in plus free ear buds

After all the discounts I got my S23U for just over £400.
This new deal is misleading, you're now trading in an S23u for £600 which is worth £600 and people think its good. People only see the final payment and don't see the trade-in as actual money.

Anyone know how the trade in works? Do you send your old phone to them AFTER the new one comes? To give us time to transfer everything across... It says you must send your phone in within 7 days, but not if that's from when they ship the phone or from time of preorder

411, for upgrade to s24u from s23u (and i paid 850 for the s23u this time last year..) - by the time I ebay off the watch, and hopefully the cashback tracks is an absolute bargain for £200.
Dont get me wrong, I love this s23u, but for that money to upgrade, its an amazing deal.

I've got the S22 ultra as well and my contract renewal is up in 2 month but canna be arsed with this 2 year contract at £75 a month so got 370 trade in for My S22 and ended up Paying £691 for S24 ultra and new watch and things like the added Disney plus so no brainer for me and ill be contract free now
Keep trying the chat if you really want a £50 code. I was issued one and told it wouldn't include the case and screen protector, but to my delight, it added those items on when ordering.I was on chat with them for ages and they kept saying you may get something after 7 pm. So frustrating

Why are people buying the codes eBay when you can find them for free?
- Is the £80+ worth the extra 512gb ? Assume this won't record to a SSD like the iPhone and I'm assuming the days of micro SD ports are gone.

Glad to see it be the Snapdragon In the UK people have mentioned.If you sell it privately when the time comes, it will be as the the 1TB are more sought after, not if you are going to trade it in as they don't seem to differentiate the trade in values of different memory sizes annoyingly (they should really).

Placed an order with trade in a few days ago.
Got the £50 code + case and screen protector + £50 gesture of goodwill codes today. So reordered to save the £100 + freebies, however the system wouldn't recognise the IMEI number as it was used on the first order.
I've used a dummy IMEI for the correct device and will reject the DPD delivery for the first order.
Am I likely to have any issues when they receive my trade in, as the IMEI number isn't going to match and was originally assigned to the first order?
Hoping the tracking for sending the device back will be linked correctly to the second order i've placed today. (edited)Email samsung@tradeinresponse.co.uk explaining the situation. Had to do something similar when trading in an s9 a couple of years ago and they updated the imei on the order.

Each to their own but I don't get why people are taking such a hit on the S23 Ultra for a moderate upgrade. I'll be waiting for the S25 Ultra or Pixel 10 Pro next year. Bigger jump.
no reason not to tbh, you spend about £420, get about £60 in cashback, the watch about £150, assume you were gonna buy disney plus another £90 saved. thats £120 for the phone basically to upgrade.
Not to mention in a years time if you want to upgrade you probably will be more for the s24 ultra then the s23 ultra when the s25 is out. Right now the trade in value is £370 for an s22 ultra and £600 for s23 ultra, so for only £120 more you can get in theory £230 more trade in value for the s25 (edited)- Anyone's phone been dispatched yet?Is everyone's order showing preparing to dispatch when you click on more details

After having spent over 3 hours calling Samsung, being cut off, re-dialling the frustration has set in.
I've been a 'Samsung Galaxy Note' user since the 'Note 4' and other than skipping 'Note 7'
and possibly 1-2 others, always managed to get a good deal.
Having looked into this upgrade to the S24 Ultra 1TB, with a trade in of my S23 Ultra (+£600), and using all the codes, Samsung Flex, (with the least desirable, free 40mm (too small for men) galaxy watch 6 thrown in)
IT'S JUST NOT WORTH IT!
** SAMSUNG HAVE WITHDRAWN THEIR UPGRADE PROGRAMME **
That means trading in your existing phone does not release you of outstanding payments.
It used to be, Samsung allowed customers to upgrade their phones annually and you just entered a NEW credit agreement to pay the balance interest free over up to 2 years (after a 10% upfront payment).
With nearly £550 left to pay for my S23 Ultra, I'd need to continue paying for this till March 2025, and at the same time pick up new payments for the S24 Ultra for another approx. £600.
So, the real cost to upgrade is about £1150 (+ £250 paid to date) = £1400
If you're new to Samsung and can get the most from trading in whatever phone, you currently have (assuming you're the outright owner - with no outstanding finance) then the deal could be regarded as attractive.
For the rest of us - no point!
I'll just stick to my S23 Ultra.
SAMSUNG YOU'RE MAKING A BIG MISTAKE (ONCE AGAIN) REMOVING THE UPGRADE PROGRAMME.
You had my business all these years (kept because of the S-pen), now you stand to lose me unless the programme is reinstated in the future. (edited)
