According to Intel, the processor only supports 8GB max ram. In the pictures it seems to show a DIMM, so if you had any ram you could try it.

one of the things stuff like this is great for is cheap PC you keep on for internet/email or torrents or PLEX i have a similar box that also does a NAS function with cloud backup and because they use so little power huge savings in electricity is the big one, mine uses 10-14watts all day when you consider even a basic PC ticking over can be 30-40 watts the difference soon adds up.
