Worth a try , but theres so many complaints about the delayed notifications

You're correct, the delayed notifications makes this almost useless.
Even when on the same network, as in when you're at home, the parcel delivery guys are often back in their vans before you get a notification.
If by some miracle you get a delivery driver with some patience, and they're still there when you get the notification, because of the delay you'll lucky to get to speak to them over the bell before they leave.
I have complained to Eufy several times and they have thus far failed to address the issue.

I have this myself. Delayed notification is my big problem and you can't get live footage the same way ring works

My daughter in law still has access to the Ring doorbell at her parents house. We did a test where we asked her brother to ring the doorbell at the same time as my son rang the one at our house.
The notification from the Ring doorbell which is at the other address came through before the one from our house, even though the phone was connected to the same network!

Interesting all the comments about delays - I installed one this week and have had no issues. Notifications come through on my phone (and Garmin) immediately. Only yesterday I used it to speak with a Royal Mail delivery that otherwise would have gone back to the depot.
Early days but very happy with mine thus far and the face detection etc is excellent

I've got a hard wired ring doorbell bell my current subscription ends next month. So looking to move on due to the massive increase in costs for this. But I'm now put off going the eufy route due to the delays 🫤
If I just cancel my ring subscription can the doorbell still be used as a doorbell and can I still click and see who is there etc? I'll just lose the cloud backups? Or do you lose full use of it? 🤷🏼 (edited)

I use the Ring doorbell without subscription. It works as a doorbell. You can answer call when someone presses the bell. You can view live. But you can't see past events without subscription. You can see notification of recent events (like some one pressed bell), but not the video of that. (edited)

Any idea, if this is compatible with homebase 3 ? Eufy is not clearly mentioning about the homebase compatibility. I saw many negative reviews on the incompatibility of Eufy products.

So I have this and it depends on your use case. I wanted to use a mechanical background chime and I could not. You have to have a wireless version for that. It seems crazy. Quality wise it works.
Others have reported seeing other people's cameras etc
Security around these is very questionable. I installed it for an elderly relative and they're happy.

Ok , so having got this and tested it, There is very little to no difference in notification between this and Ring, literally within 2-3 secs notification when motion detected 2mtres away and thats having phone on wifi and off, using only my mobile network provider.

Couple of things that need further testing are the setting up of zones, I think setting a zone up can interfere or cause delays in notification, unlike the Ring one which is straight forward with no issues.

What I do suspect is Amazon Deliberately sabotageing its functionality with Alexa, firestick & Echo products, by causing lengthy connection delays, tested routines on firestick and echo show, something is not quite right there, additionally Alexa routine comments /reviews from other users making similar comments giving the routine/skills 1 star reviews.

Direct commands to Echo show and firestick are also hit & miss & lengthy delays, but at times connection within 10 seconds ish sometimes within 5 seconds.

4GB recording on the device. The app seems decent and fairly straight forward with plenty of settings.

Overall the kit is a bargain as you get everything you need
    Eufy
    1. Doorbell
    2. Power supply
    3. Angle bracket
    4. Chime
    5. UK & Euro plugs, interchangeable

    Ring
    1. W.Doorbell £40-50
    2. Power supply £21
    3. Angle brackets £13
    4. Chime £30-40

£100 + & you have to pay subscription

Only other concerning thing is a comment by another user about the plastic delaminating: hotukdeals.com/com…059

    Further testing Update:

OK , so after further testing in the real world by swapping it with my ring door bell, franly there was little difference in the notification times between Ring and this, there is no given set time between either , notifications can range from 2 second to 10 seconds.

Also bare in mind delivery drivers don't hang around anyway so you can only catch a few.

Although I am a little disapointed in its performance especially knowing that it's an Anker product, one of the first companies who raised the bar and set the standard for quality products and customer service.

So for the price and what you get , I think it will do the job for most, without ongoing charges. (edited)

One of the pictures appears to be suggesting that the storage is on the doorbell itself. Is this correct or have misunderstood something?
  8. Jabaltariq's avatar
Can those of you that do experience the delay in notifications confirm if you have the version with the base station? Maybe the delay is more to do with the base rather than the doorbell itself!
    jjav's avatar
order this and try it , only way to know if your bell is faulty or if the base is causing the problem , check manufacture dates and i'd even try a new base.
  9. jjav's avatar
There is also the possibility Eufy have changed components on the board on newer batches, they wont admit to anything, due to liability, but if you are experiencing delayed notifications & still under warranty get your equipment swapped.
