Discount just brings it inline with Amazon prices tbh

Wouldn’t recommend hoover personally. Suction nowhere near enough compared to something like a Shark and customer service is awful. I’ve been waiting a month for a return code which was initiated within 14 days of receiving the product.

This is great for the money. Ours is 3 years old and works fine. We use it daily downstairs (hard floors and the occasional low pile rug). From time to time we need to clean the rotating head brush - if it can’t rotate the battery cuts off. I will definitely buy again if the current one breaks.

I beg to differ, mine did the same as the brush head motor was faulty but i put in a warranty claim and they came and picked it up and a couple of weeks later i have it back fixed and good to go so good enough service for me.

Bought one last time, was awful. Wished I'd put the £50 towards a decent vacuum cleaner. False economy this one.

This is well worth £50 if you use it for small jobs. It needs fairly regular cleaning of filters and brush but I had no problem removing hair as you can remove the brush easily. The battery shuts itself down if the brush is jammed up and can't turn. This is to avoid burning out the motor and is solved by cleaning the brush and removing hair/grot from the ends. I've had one for three years now, used it two or three times a week and it's still going strong. Not super long battery life between charges, and if you're not up for maintaing it then probably not for you but at £50 I'd buy one again. By no means a substitute for your main vacuum but fine for doing hard floors and low pile rugs.

Sorry op, this seems like a bargain but not worth buying. I had to return mine due to hair wrapping around brushes which stops it from working and it's a nightmare to remove the hair.

It will suck when it breaks exactly a year and a day after you buy it,if your lucky, probably more likely to suck long before that.Hoover/Candy domestic appliances are even worse than Hotpoint/Indesit quality wise, although less likely to burn your house down.If you really cant spring for a LG or Samsung cost wise buy a Beko, not this junk.

Lol price matching would match total cost of one retailer vs total cost of another retailer...

Multiple purchases from the same retailer perhaps? Or like I've said already, price matching.

I never said it did mention 225. You wouldn’t be paying 225 for it, so why would you want to know pre p&p unless you have a code (lol)

Where? There's no mention of 225 anywhere on the post. As far as I'm aware, price matching in general doesn't factor postage costs, I may be wrong.

Privately call out charge is £70 for qualified repair professional, Google

Whats nfc in this one for? Can I pay in a shop with this machine lol?

£120 is a rip off great i bought because my previous machine broke and was desperate now im full of regrets after reading the comments. Just hoping it lasts 3 years with no faults then it will be scrapped if it breaks as it would have paid for itself (cost £329 with removal of old machine and next day delivery)

Exactly, so you pay £120+ a call out or per year for labour which makes this a very expensive machine, better more reliable machines out there with proper 5 warranties for machines. Manufacturers who give just parts warranty make a fortune out of the labour charges. The manufacturer will offer you an extended warranty for the first year of £120 but every year after that it will go up. False economy.

Seems a good price. Cheapest on AO for any integrated washer dryer is £359.

Well LG seem to be looked on favourably. I had a 43" LCD. I probably had it no more than 2 years. It had a 1 year warranty. It had been used about 3 times....certainly no more than 10hrs use as it was intended as a pc monitor. Failed and repair was not economical. LG didn't want to know. I am sure all brands have friday afternoon appliances.....

Thanks for the reply and for sharing your experience. For my family’s sake I’m happier to take the risk of it breaking down than buy a brand that has been known to manufacture machines which have caught on fire (indesit, hotpoint, whirlpool, beko, bush). Of course I’d prefer a more reliable brand (such as Bosch or Samsung) but unfortunately their prices are almost double that of Hoover’s appliances. Ive set up an alert on here so if any great deals do appear for more premium brands I’ll do my best to jump on it!

Hoover not having safety recalls isn’t necessary a good or bad thing, they could just be ignorant to any safety issues their machines may have. There are plenty of surveys online, but my dislike of hoover products comes from me and various members of my family having them on our homes at various points in time - my sisters Washing machine pump failed literally days after the 1 year warranty and their “free parts “ policy is a con as you need to use their expensive engineers. My hoover washing machine somehow buckled a drum after 2/3 years of life, this is with being careful not to overload any washer.

Beko, Bush and Indesit machines have had safety issues/ recalls. I couldn’t see any such issues for Hoover, is there any evidence of their poor build quality? Or is it just reputation

Hoover appliances are quite poor quality generally, washer dryers are generally not well thought of either. If wondering just how bad domestic appliances can get, this is likely it.Only worth considering if theres no other option, even then buyers remorse almost a certainty long before the 1 year warranty expires.Based on thankfully previous experience of two washing machines,a tumble dryer and worst of all a washer/dryer.Just spare yourself the bother and avoid them.

Pretty much the standard Hoover domestic appliance experience then.

Currently in a battle with Hoover about my tumble dryer (not this model). Came with an extended parts warranty. Now the heating element has failed, they won’t send me the parts unless I use their engineer and pay the labour charges. A local engineer charges half the price. And more to the point, I could install for free.

I have a similar model. The control panel beeps randomly. Sometimes you have to switch it off at the wall and wait 10 seconds for it to reset and then it behaves for another while.

If your life is not already filled with bitterness and regret, solve that problem right now by purchasing a Hoover appliance, any Hoover appliance.

I was very interested in this deal and bought some replacement bags that came with replacement filters from the seller associated to this deal. The thing is the Miele vacuum cleaner model I have doesn't allow you to replace just the filter....you have to replace the whole cage and filter. After a bit of investigation I discovered this company that sells the air filter cage that is needed to be able to use the replacement filters that come with these replacement bag deals. At the time of posting these were the part nos. for a 3 lug cage and a 4 lug cage (different models have either a 3 or 4 lug cage)..... 3 lug cage : 5986972 4 lug cage : 5986973 Here's the link for a 3 lug cage. They do sell a 4 lug cage but I couldn't find it listed on their website. I hope someone finds this useful. (y)

Arrived today, checked them out and so far can’t see any suction issues whatsoever. This might develop in time don’t know yet but it seems to me like a bargain and worth the try.

Exactly and if not you will not buy them again, easy.

No I have a decent amount of savings but all the negativity gave me cold feet about them. I didn't cancel my order though and want to try them out because if they are any way half decent I'll save a small fortune.

Really? Why not give it a try rather than listening to others? Is £13 really that much for you that you can’t give it a try?

I got this and wasn't impressed. The long pipe and thin cleaning nozzles were missing. Took an age to get an RMA. The hoover was well cleaned but on closer inspection of springs and screws it looks like it has been heavily used at some point and the repaired and resold like this. I wouldnt complain with that price but we needed a vacuum cleaner quickly as ours had stopped working.

Hoover are poor these days, actually have been for quite a few years now. Beko are excellent at budget prices.

Our Hoover 10Kg Machine is over 4 years old and still going strong , gets used 4 or more times a week. The previous washer we had was also a Hoover 6kg that we had 8 years and we gave it away when we bought our new larger machine. I can't complain about either of them , only ever had one problem with the older one and that just turned out to be a nut that had come loose and the new one has been fine . Hope I'm not tempting fate. Regarding spinning , the newer machine is 1400 rpm and the old one was 1600 rpm , yet the slower one gets clothes drier . This is probably due to the larger drum.

Oops sorry you can use the 59 minute programme and change the spin to 1600

there will always be cases like yours but sadly especially with dare I say it hotpoint you are lucky to get past a year without calling them out. A once great brand complete ruined :(

Technically, as a proper noun (capitalised) , that should not be used and a potential rival company would always be sensitive to this and carefully consider their marketing language etc. However, as a verb, it has long been officially recognised and accepted (see any dictionary), and I wonder if the improper noun may well do as well in time? Personally, I don't use it, but perhaps 'hooverer' may be acceptable as a development from the verb, to describe something that hoovers? :D

As someone who works for Shark on many projects, I am merely seeing it from their point of view. They see it as a vacuum which it is, if shark or any of the others you mentioned were to call their own product by someone else's name it is a breach of trademark thus could result in large fine and court action so yes, I feel it is helpful. But thanks for insights.

Helpful! Also while we're at it; Velcro, Super Glue, Fiber Glass, Jet Ski, Bubble Wrap, Memory Stick, AstroTurf, Mace and many more things are brand names. Yet they universally recognised throughout the English language to portray / represent common every day items. So yer - this IS a hoover. And clarification is likely not required for the past 50 years going into the future.

Vacuum not a hoover. Hoover is a make in its own right.

Not sure what the difference is on the two models but... If you have a dog or cat go for the True Pet versions, they usually have a T on the end of the model number
