Has anyone had any experience’s with cancelling with this company?
For 99p this is very tempting.

Talk Home has a 4 GB/unlimited mins offer for 1p for 3 months, if anyone is interested
    amz84uk's avatar
Is this available to non TalkTalk customers though?

I had tried to order this and it kept failing for me.

Have been on one of these plans before - can I switch on to another 6 months at 99p from the existing Lebara number?
    midnightz's avatar
Nope. Port to another SIM (Asda is simplest as no top-up needed) and then port to the new deal

I had ordered this yesterday at the £1.90 for 6 months.
Just cancelled that order via the chat and reordered!

I got the impression that the advisor has been cancelling a lot of orders today!
  7. sheffield788's avatar
Ordered and hot! It seems I was charged £0.99 straight away. I thought they would charge once you activate the SIM, not when the SIM is still with them.
    amz84uk's avatar
99p is deducted at point of purchase.

The monthly plan begins from the moment the SIM card is inserted and activated onto their network.

So your first month will begin from the date of activation; not purchase.

If you cancel a lebara contract, does the cancellation take place immediately, or can you continue to use your inclusive data allowance until the next monthly renewal date?

Turning off auto renew warns you are about to cancel your plan, will lose your promotion and may experience service disruption (edited)
    Rahan's avatar
You can still use your allowance until your expiry date.

When does the 15gb offer finish?

How long do you have to activate the sim after purchase? . Tia
    Mystogan's avatar
30 days, they send you emails reminding you how many days left to activate.
If you do not activate within time, they refund you the cost of the sim.
  11. frontview's avatar
Anyone know if the card needs to be activated in the UK or can it be activated abroad roaming?
    mutley1's avatar
It needs to be activated in the uk

15gb used to be 6.95, looks like they've thrown a really good introductory offer and playing the long game upping it to 7.90.

Still a really good deal imo. I only get 4g in most places unless I'm in the city centre (west Midlands)
    Hawfinch's avatar
15GB for £6.95 with Lebara is still available via uSwitch. First 3 months are £2.78. And £12.10 Quidco cashback.

Ive had 2 consecutive 6 month contracts with them & just took out the 3rd (£1.90 sim arrived yesterday), all with the same email & home address's so doesnt seem to be a problem.

Just to warn you all.... If you are porting a number to them...

This has caused me major issues, the number I wanted to keep was "split port"... If you don't know what that is look it up. Others have had the same issue with lebara. It took over 2 weeks and a lot of effort on my part to sort out.

Beyond this, the signal is good and no other problems, however their customer service team asked me to alter an honest review..... This was before they had sorted the split porting issue. Commercially damn naughty in my eyes..... Hence a high trust pilot rating, plus many of those reviewers very strangely have only reviewed one company!

I ported as number from O2 to Lebara last week and it went through without any problems.

After getting the new 99p 15GB deal, anyone on the £1.90 sim could cancel after 30 days by turning off auto renew and then activating the 99p sim. (edited)
  20. G_M_K's avatar
Got this and nothing but problems. Wifi calling randomly turns on and off and volte doesn't work.
    ashyt16turbo's avatar
If you've just got it and swapped your number then give it time. It should sort itself out in 24 hours after everything has transferred. (edited)
  21. h3avy's avatar
So for the third month in a row they have charged me 4.40 instead of 99p. Will need to call them Again to sort out. This time I'll be requesting my PAC code aswell and move somewhere else. Remember to check your bank statements guys
  22. jd84's avatar
Can you upgrade or downgrade your plan to their standard offers once the initial offer ends, without leaving?
    ashyt16turbo's avatar
    Yes

Lebara been slow for anyone recently? Seen quite a bit of "E" (rather than 4g/5) which I haven't seen for years having been with Three
    Rahan's avatar
Vodafone are switching off 3G this month so you will see some gremlins during the migration.
  24. NAZGULL's avatar
15gb 99p nice, I was with them before so I need to use a different email correct? What if I want to switch my number to this as they got this offer often, after 6 months to get new offer I can move my number easily? To new offer? Thanks
    davidw59's avatar
You can use the same email address. Log into your account, then open a new browser tab and go to the new deal. Your existing payment details, address etc will be completed automatically. Once you activate the SIM, you can then add it to your existing account and phone app.
It's very easy to port your number out and back into a new deal whenever you want, note if a better deal comes along you don't have to complete the full term of the offer as you're not in a contract.
Like myself, most people seem to be using a 3 PAYG SIM for porting out and in. You don't have to add any credit or bundle to the 3 SIM, and once you've ported to 3, you can request your new 3 PAC the day after the initial port completes.
There are detailed 'double porting' steps in some of these Lebara posts, it's very easy. (edited)

Has anyone had experience of Moneysupermarket, TCB Compare or Quidco Compare paying out approx £13 on these 1-month sim only deals? Do they, for instance, delay cashback until after the 3 month introductory low price period, and decline it when people cancel before the price increase? (edited)
    thedean1999's avatar
family have all tried it - 2 paid out and 3 were declined.

No idea why 3 payouts were declined as all 5 were used for just under three months and then ported away at the same time.

So in answer to your query, seems to be pot luck whether they pay out or not (used Quidco Compare)
