While Spusu do supposedly have full access to EE Signal, they operate their own IMS. WiFi Calling and VoLTE is much more restricted to a smaller range of supported devices. Calls and data are routed via their own servers in Austria meaning much poorer data performance than EE and very poor call quality (and the European ringing tone - Not really a problem, but an interesting oddity as a result) Additionally, some people are reporting problems receiving texts from shortcode numbers like the bank with OTP Codes, and that voicemail is broken. Most people reporting this have eSIM rather than physical SIM, but it's worth pointing out imo.

The general network does work, but not particularly well from my experience and what I see others saying.

I always wondered why I had the European ring tone when on Lyca - this explains it.

Might be useful to post which network it runs on as not everyone has the money supermarket app etc

They do have WiFi calling and 4G calling.
    Full access to EE’s network.
    They do provide esims.

Was with them for a couple of days and left. Most people told me it’s like ringing a foreign phone. I then started hearing the same when dialling out.
Customer service is good. Quick responses

A little detail they have hidden, that might be of benefit, is that it includes 500 mins to European countries

How long do you have to activate the sim when you buy it
    afn's avatar
    6 months

If what happened to Vectone happens to this operator and you've got a number issued by this operator then you won't be able to receive calls or texts to that number, even if you port out (edited)
    t3r4's avatar
Spusu are more established in Austria and Italy, particularly Austria where they appear to be planning to launch their own masts. I think that probably signals better than Vectone got to.

I don't really know why anyone was still on Vectone by the time they stopped working as the deals were pretty poor and they didn't even have 4G, let alone 5G.

Was really excited about Spusu, then found out no WiFi calling. Ended up at 1p Mobile.
    hecatae's avatar
They've recently added WiFi calling and Volte

Think it’s £1 per month for months 1-4 then £5 per month after. Not £1 for 4 months.
    sajidtg's avatar

Correct. £1 per month for 4 months.
Monthly contract so £1 is correct price.
    Cheers.

Even £5pm sounds pretty good for EU roaming included
Never heard of this mvmo before though
    Mr._E's avatar
Since Virgin went with 02, 02 has now capped my EU roaming.

I work abroad across Europe for weeks, so paying £23 pm for everything unlimited was decent, including unlimited EU roaming.

If this is the case, even £5pm capped EU roaming isn't bad for being under EE (edited)

    Do they do eSIM?
    Gary29's avatar
    Yes they do eSIM.
  12. RedXI's avatar
    Interesting.
What's their website and app like?
Can you stop renewal of the plan on the app or website or both, and how easy is it?
    shef0072's avatar
    App is decent.
You can cancel auto payment on app.
They accept PayPal as payment so can switch off auto renew from PayPal.

Early days for a new start up.
Ordered 2 sims got full refund on one and not on the other.
Customer service being bit of a pain at the moment.

Just been onto the link no 5gb data offer

Might have been pulled off the comparison site but you can find it here. Might not get the cashback tho. spusu.co.uk/spusu5exclusive (edited)

Always funny when all the cheaper companies using EE's network offer EU roaming and no speed throttling for free.

I wanted an eSIM to use abroad for a week in April and went for it. Only 3 GB can be used abroad but that should be enough for me.
You get 6 months to activate the SIM card. I’ll activate it before my trip and cancel after effectively paying £1 for data abroad. Works for me.
    user072022's avatar
same here I wanted one for a week in april too but I will need more data so I think it is cheaper to buy a local SIM instead of this one. I will pass (edited)

Any views on Spusu as an operator?

4.5 stars out of 5 on trustpilot

The critical part is how easy is it to jump back to Lebara or whoever? Is it a smooth transition? (edited)
    afn's avatar
Should be like any mobile company. Just request a PAC.
  19. TristanDeCoonha's avatar
Make sure you get it through the link, and check the details before agreeing, because this price normally only gets you 500 mins/texts + 5gb (edited)

Like this? Either I did something wrong or the OP didn't read it carefully.

This must be a new network, never heard of them before!
    premierfella's avatar
Seems they launched last year - this must be the first time they've done any sort of decent promo given how few seem to have heard of them before this deal!
  21. dewonderful's avatar
So is this like giffgaff where have no contract, you just pay a fiver when you want to use it?
    Burgmeister's avatar
No. It's £5 per month after the initial offer of £1 per month ends
  22. FishAndCats's avatar
Is there an end date for this offer/tcb ?

How do I time it to switch from Lebara before next renewal on 6 March, order now then activate on the 5th Mar or needs to be a few days before in order not to get charged full rate by Lebara?
    has070's avatar
    Just turn auto renewal off

I must be losing it. I have successfully logged into TCB. I have found the MSM Mobile offer for £13 on sim-only. Clicked the hyperlink. Then I am onto their main webpage. Looked for SIM-only deals, specifically Spusu and here is what I see.. any help?

    Isn't it £13tcb not£13/month.?? Cud that b why!?

Shame about the issues and lack of using EE IMS. This offer makes it worth joining them just about.
  26. Sivers's avatar
It's good to try the EE coverage in my zone. TCB is no longer working with this deal, but its 1p/m , for that price I'm going to be using it for this month at least.

I bought it and in 5 minutes I had it all configured and ready with the eSIM option.
Sadly, for now, the coverage is bad and even the SMS with the contract activation didn't get out for a while...

5G is working (when I get a signal), that's a good sign for outdoor tests.

Wifi calling and Volte seems to be working...

    Cheers, (edited)

If you can’t find it, then go to menu, “Mobile phones” then “30 Days SIM deals” (edited)

If you choose esim, why do you need to put your address - is there something they send over?
    Sivers's avatar
No, with eSim all came by email. I think is only to get your data into their systems for future use...
  30. wolvesinwales's avatar
Did everyone receive an activation code by email ? Just received my SIM and says I need the code to activate it but haven't received one.
    Amar_Nam's avatar
Yes. I have not received my SIM but got the email with it the day after ordering. Check you junk mail (edited)
  31. FishAndCats's avatar
Ordered 2 SIMs, paid with paypal.
Received 2 emails "Please follow the link below to edit or review your payment method in your ‘My spusu’ account.". Link leads to blank page. Don't see a way to login. No pending charges on paypal or linked card

It is indeed its already been discussed but as per OP it seems that is how they post deals - wording say something and image say something

How does this deal expire other than what I posted is still discounted for the first four months?
