There is no minimum contract term. In order to maintain the service, you must top-up your 1pMobile phone/account with at least £10 once every 120 days. If you fail to do this the service will be ended and any unused credit will be lost. (AFTER THE 1ST YEAR)
Anon32's avatar
If you pay £30 it buys you a year. Some people think you have to top up every 120 days you do not. £10 buys 120 days, £20 240 £30 a year etc…

£10 for 1gb of data. There are better deals out there

But not everyone needs data..... my elderly mum just wanted an emergency phone in case her landline went down - for the grand total of £2.50 a month she has a phone sitting there just in case. Peace of mind.

I had the £10 25GB deal, service was brilliant, only service with maxed signal and insane speeds. By far the best service if you only need up to 25GB, highly recommended if you are reliant on a phone too - disabled etc.
    rapid111111's avatar
Everyone is reliant on a phone. What do you mean disabled?

Don’t they do a £3 a month one for ult mins and texts and 250MB of data every month. Probably better value but it depends on what you use it for. Maybe post that saj as well. (edited)

I average about 5gig data a month so data alone it would cost me £50 a month with this sim
This would be good for someone that doesn’t use the internet at all but otherwise I’d stay well away from this kind of deal.

For those complaining about the deal, im pretty sure this type of deal is for those who are not using the mobile very much but want to keep a number and SIM just incase. I.e. those who live in EU but come back to the UK

You must top-up at least £10 once every 120 days. If you fail to do this the service will be ended and any unused credit will be lost. Sounds awful for a just in case phone.

I had a different experience with 1p mobile Put £10 on the sim and i only use the data to check my speeds 3 times and the £10 was gone in one day so said bye to them.
    t3r4's avatar
Speed tests usually use 300MB+ data in one go (faster connection use more data).

So at 1p/MB it's no surprise you ran out of £10 credit in just a day.
  7. Arkz's avatar
Having to spend £10 every 120 days or losing yer deal and remaining credit.. That's just absolute rubbish.

1p per MB sucks too these days. you could use 100MB browsing a website with vids on in in no time, boom, that's a quid.

My Lebara sim is 15GB a month, unlimited texts and minutes, and 100 mins international per month.

For 99p for 6 months. Then £7.90 after that, which I just turn off auto renew before that, order their current best sim deal, and switch my number over again.

How do you switch from Lebara to Lebara ?

    For anyone interested...

What network do you use and what is the coverage like?

We use the EE network to provide you with your mobile service, so you should receive great coverage. Currently, EE's 4G network reaches 97% population coverage of the UK and 67% geographic coverage. EE's 2G coverage currently reaches 99% of the UK population. To see the level of coverage in a particular area, visit our Coverage checker page

Their 5G is very good too. Decent coverage and speed.

Has anyone come across some clever technique / method / system - whereby a mobile phone can replace a landline - i.e. can be answered from any floor of the house or at least ring something all over the house?

We have a 3-story house and I currently have at least one cordless phone on each floor.

So, if the landline rings - it can be answered quickly - or at least can be heard on each floor.

My missus refuses to give up the landline until I can find a way of alerting the whole house when the replacement mobile number is called.

I did wonder if I could somehow redirect the mobile phone ringer to my Google Home speaker - one on each floor?

4G and 5G Routers that have telephone sockets on the back of them would let you put a SIM Card in and connect your landline phones to it. If you set your calls on your mobile to divert to the random PAYG number that the SIM has in the router you can then have your incoming mobile calls go to all the landline phones in the house without having to pay for line rental... Or if you are specifically getting a second mobile to replace the landline then pop that SIM card in the router and it will work straight away without needing to divert calls at all.

I switch between LYka, cant use the real name and Lebara.
L £1.49 a month 10gb data unlimited text and minutes + £10 Quidco cash back So only £1.94 for 6 months.
Switching to Lebara on Tuesday, 15gb unlimited Text and mins £0.99p a month for 6 months.
    £5.96=£1.94=£8.90 for the year.
A bit of a pain switching but for the price its a winner.

We were sceptical about 1p mobile when we moved three SIMs to them a year ago from Smarty (OMG they were terrible). 1p mobile have been great superb coverage across the UK and seamless when we’ve been overseas. We pay £12.50 for 25gb, unlimited calls and texts but notice it’s now £10 so moving over to that.

I've been with these guys for over 2 years now and it's the best MVNO I've used and I've used them all over the years. Runs perfectly on the EE network with no speed reductions. Light users can just top up £30 to keep the SIM active for the year and the credit can then be used as PAYG when you choose to, (1p min/text/mb data). Heavier users can choose monthly boosts.
    chaz.meeker's avatar
100% agree, value for money and network quality are really good,we pay £10 a month for 25gb and unlimited calls/texts with EU roaming for each phone. Maybe able to get cheaper but 1p network quality via EE is way better than Smarty, GiffGaff and others we’d tried before 1p.

Really good network, coverage, speed and super solid connection in my area where the rest of the mobile providers have really bad coverage (vale area), I’ve spent nearly a year with a 1p 25G@£10 plan and switched from ID Mobile after a few years with them from their poor service... (edited)

Hmm, interesting.... my "free" data from Three (weird glitch, from the end of December, add-on deal which expires tomorrow) was 60gb. In the month, I've now got 59.7gb left Data ain't used by all.

I am currently on their network and shows £36 to me. is there a way to get this?
    KodaBear's avatar
You're looking at the wrong plan. £36 is for unlimited mins and texts with 250mb per month.

This deal is just the basic pay as you go at 1p a minute 1p a text, 1p a megabyte, with the requirement to buy a top up waived for a year in exchange for topping up £30 cash credit.

At the end of the year you either have to buy a topup to keep the account active, or the account closes and you lose the remaining credit.

Stay away this company is useless. They have a number they say you can contact them on and nobody answers it. I just signed upto to their 30 day rolling sim 25Gb data and still have no data coverage after more than 24 hours. To add insult to injury their system has just txt me to say I have run out of all my monthly allowance. . This a really dodgy business as far as I am concerned and going to take my business elsewhere with immediate effect.

Can’t even get a PAC from this f clowns  (edited)

Slow down.. Did you topped up and applied plan before you received a text saying "Your phone number transfered was successfully completed"? If yes.. you lost the money because of that.. its highlighted you have to wait until its fully done.
