Log onto your existing Mubi account whilst on a Turkish VPN location, create the giftcard which will be sent to the other email address. When you get that email, get onto the Turkish VPN. Redeem that giftcard in another browser to avoid confusion with the original Mubi account, create your password and log on. You can then go back to your usual browser to log on with the new details.
I got alarming "This giftcard has already been redeemed" notices, but this was because I wasn't on the Turkish VPN or used the same browser which I used my previous account on.
