    1080 on an 42inch is horrid. cold cold cold there was a 4k Vestel Panny going for a few quid more last week (edited)

    If it's for a kid's room or a bedroom there's no need for 4K.
    Still no 4K content on Freeview and most movies we watch are in 1080p due to the bandwidth required for 4K.
    Little fella watches YouTube in 1080p.
    Not everyone has a 10 million Gigawatts internet connection. (edited)
