The Powerful Smart Speaker with Built-In Voice Control
The Sonos One Speaker combines powerful, crystal clear sound with comprehensive voice control to provide the user with a hassle-free way to enjoy music the way you want.
- Voice Control (Sonos One Only)
One of the major selling points of the Sonos One is that it features both Amazon and Google voice assistant, providing instant access to all sorts of music streaming options, as well as weather and traffic updates, reminders, or just answers to any questions you might have. The One SL does not have microphones or voice control.
- Stereo Pairing
One Sonos One device produces satisfying audio output. But two can generate an instant stereo setup. A pair of Ones or One SLs will automatically sync, ensuring perfect balance and richer sounds, whether you're watching movies or streaming Spotify. Perfect for parties.
- High-Quality Sound
Thanks to two Class D amps and a pair of custom-made drivers set inside the casing, Sonos One SL speakers pack a real punch.
- Easy Integration with Sonos Products
As you might expect, the Sonos One SL can fit straight into an existing Sonos configuration, adding even more sound to your mix of PLAYBARS and smart speakers.
- Sleek Design
The sleek design of the Sonos One SL allows it to blend seamlessly with any room decor. The touch-free interface located on the top of the speaker adds to the overall aesthetic of the product while providing unparalleled functionality.
- Total Flexibility with the Sonos App
Controlling audio playback is very simple thanks to the Sonos App. Just swipe forwards to advance a track, or touch to increase or decrease volume. And if you prefer, the One itself comes with capacitive controls that respond to your touch. There's no need to fiddle with dials to find the ideal balance, and switching CDs is a thing of the past (unless you decide to hook up Sonos to your stereo, which is done simply enough).
- Apple AirPlay 2 Compatible
Apple's new wifi protocol allows users to tie speakers together and link up smartphones and computers in one super-smart network. For the first time, the Sonos One is fully Airplay 2 compatible, making it ideal for iPhone users who want to beam music tracks or podcasts.

Pros and Cons of the Sonos One
Here are the pros and cons of the Sonos One SL.

Cons
Here are some answers to users most frequently asked questions regarding the Sonos One and Sonos One SL
No, unfortunately with the Sonos One and the Sonos One SL, Bluetooth connectivity is unavailable. However, they do connect seamlessly to any wifi network with the Sonos app available for any iOS or Android smartphone.
Using the Sonos app, go to Settings, then select System, then Network, and finally Wireless Set Up. This will then take you through the required steps. After inputing your wifi password, you should see a message notifying you that your Sonos player is now connected to the wifi network.
After much trepidation and some lengthy delays, the Google Assistant is now fully functioning on the Sonos One. You can use it in much the same way as Alexa. You can ask the Google Assistant to play music from streaming services like Spotify, Google Play Music and Spotify Music, as well as adjust volume, skip tracks and even ask for the weather. However, with the new Sonos One SL model, Voice control has been eliminated.
Yes! At present, Sonos One is optimised to connect with Amazon's voice activation service, so if you subscribe to Amazon Music or use the Amazon-owned Audible audiobook library, you're in luck! However, the new Sonos One SL model is unequipped for voice control functionality.
Technically, the Sonos One isn't meant to be used as a TV audio device. It's really just a smart playback option, with voice activation at its heart. But with a little technical trickery, it can also supplement some TV brands as well.
The key here is Apple's AirPlay 2 system. If you have an Apple TV, you can use Airplay 2 to sync with your Sonos One. Or, even better, you can pair up a couple of One speakers to deliver stereo audio.
No, both Sonos One and Sonos One SL must be connected to a wifi network and a power source at all times. Sonos does offer a slightly smaller model with portable capabilities called Sonos Move.
