I have original vax blade, 4 years old used at least twice a day, battery is still strong and vaccum cleans effectively and efficiently. My Dyson was scrapped, the vax blade is the best vaccum I have ever had.

One of the reviews mentions a wall mount of sorts. "One of the drawbacks is the flimsy wall hook, it is already a bit loose after having used it a couple of weeks (the actual part that clips to the vacuum shaft I am referring to)"

It did, it's tiny and I haven't tried it yet but it's definitely a wall mount (came with screws)

ajh1980

Did it come with a wall mount?

ajh1980

Held back undecided but reduced to 79.99 today so went for it. Any idea if it comes with a wall mount? Thanks.

SalesExplorer

I just want to inform you that the price is now reduced to £79.99

Are refurbished models false economy ie if it's refurbished does that mean original used battery which will have less life etc? I'm curious as I've never tried going down that route before.

No problem with pick up. If something too large goes up then it can block. But earlier I said you must empty it more often than you would think. Ps. The earlier model to this did clog more.

TheDongMaster

id agree, these things don't pick anything up. Fed up of hoovering and leaving a trail of things it didn't fully suck up behind.

donotneed

Save your money! Complete design flaw with this. The dust clogs on entry to cyclinder everytime and the suction is not powerful enough "had two of these after returning the first" Good pick up on carpet, awful on hard floor

compadre

I'd say yes. Just empty the dust container more than you think necessary.

Hi - sorry for asking so randomly but how are you finding the Vax after about 3-4 weeks....I checked last night and there are still some in stock so very tempted at this price just for using around the kitchen / after the kids have played etc! Thanks so much!

razzles

I ordered one and it arrived today. I was sceptical given the mixed reviews here but it's great. We have really fine flat carpet & original wooden floors in our flat and we've found Dyson's & Henry's don't manage to pick up the dirt properly but this really managed to lift it. I'd definitely recommend it for the price! Just hoping it stands the test of time.

andy_mathiesonWna

Actually 42 volts fully charged its just the different way they rate 10 cell lithium its 4.2 v per cell fully charged

Just for a bit of balance - I have had the original Vax Blade (24v) for 3 years and zero problems, zero replacement parts. And it's taken a few tumbles and a bit of a battering over the years. Yes the battery capacity is now somewhat reduced (although still enough to do a 2/3-bed house), and was never as great as claimed (and particularly I found it a bit cheeky referring to a "boost" mode suggesting extra power when in fact this is on by default so really it's a "reduce" mode). Most recently I've used it to clear up decorating and DIY dust which probably wasn't a great move, and it now makes a funny noise when i switch it on, but it's still going strong. I found it plenty good enough that I rarely bother to get the corded cleaner out as this is *so* much easier. As I think mentioned above you do have to clean the filters regularly. And empty it pretty much every time. The tools that came with it were almost entirely crap but I think they're better these days (eg the crevice tool was about 6" long and unable to reach into pretty much any crevice) I'm tempted by this deal but struggling to justify since mine is still going well enough. If it carked it tomorrow though I'd have no hesitation going for this.

For those of you that missed the grade A refurb deal yesterday. This is grade B and £10 cheaper. Still comes with 1 year guarantee.

Damn, for a minute I thought it was a Dyson as I've been ripped off by Vax in the past (I bought a Cordless Vax Air Lift which had the worst suction of any vacuum I've ever owned)

bellboys

First review on the feedback rating on the ebay ad 'Brilliant item refurbished B - hardly a mark on it' We have had the 32v Vax Blade for about 2 years now and it's been absolutely faultless. If it had a Dyson label on it it would cost considerably more.
