Shenmue 3
Terrahawker

Still had it sitting in my basket for £4.99 - went through.

Damn, missed it. Gone up in price now from looks of it.

supermetroid

Can't see it at this price anymore ?

I was like you; played the first two when they first came out and absolutely loved them and then played Shenmue 3 as soon as it came out. While the gameplay does feel a bit outdated it was designed this way to fall in line with the feel and aesthetic of the original games. If you're a fan of the series it's definitely worth a fiver if you're dying to know what happens in the next part of the story since Shenmue 2 ended on such a cliffhanger. It's not a bad game necessarily, but it's nothing groundbreaking either and definitely draws upon its 20+ year old predecessors in terms of gameplay and atmosphere. It was a nice trip down memory lane with some good cutscenes and classic Shenmue gameplay - however, I can see why people who were unfamiliar with the original games would say the gameplay was outdated and slow.

Realhoneyman

This is what makes me hesitant about getting it. I also adored Shenmue 1&2 back when they came out (they're wasn't much like them at the time which made them quite unique). I've read the negatives about Shenmue III and one of the major things was that the gameplay felt archaic and deliberately made to draw out your progression. I'm still curious about checking it out one day but I don't feel like it's inspiring me to play it ASAP which is a shame given the series it belongs to.

Google Khanzagames PES option file... (y)

jp2016

Can you link the file?

leeblack83

for the sake of few quid i think its worth it imo, efootball will have 9 teams at launch, no offline modes, not sure if any online modes will be available, konami have pretty much confirmed it will be like a demo when launched

dav3duncan

eFootball going free to play in a matter of weeks would make me advise that you don't pick up 21

For stealth FPS games, I would say the Metro series, Dishonoured 1 and 2, Deus Ex Mankind Divided. If you want stealth 3rd person games then hitman 2 (currently free on ps+) is great, also Metal Gear Solid is really good (to the middle point). On Desperados... I have it and haven't played it yet so I'm in the same boat. For under a tenner for a physical copy it's not the biggest risk. I loved the old Commando games though.

Mickey_Money: I put a fair bit into the KS as well, I haven't played the DLC yet as I want to experience it at a later date on a separate playthrough. In regards to sales, it's hard to say, I think a lot of people who initially wanted to game paid into the KS, so sales AFTER launching in retail might not have been so hot because of that alone. I'm hoping the Anime will draw a new crowd in and give the series a refreshing buzz of interest. I'm still hopeful for a Shenmue IV, we breached through the silence with 3 and with Baisha being cut, I reckon there was a fair bit of work done on some content that will appear in Shen 4 already. As long as they don't try start fresh with a new engine I think Shen 4 is a very good possibility. I'm not expecting to hear anything until later 2022/ early 2023 at best though. If it happens and goes pc only I would probably buy one just for this game... (fierce)

mattriggy

Really wanted to like it, but after playing the Yakuza series, this felt so outdated! 😔

CaptainBeefhart

Got this for a fiver new at game last week might be worth a check

I'm sure it would, I just had a quick look and there are a few Crazy Taxi playlists on Spotify. Just turn local music off, stick on Spotify and listen to whatever you want. I do it with Burnout Paradise so that I don't have to listen to Paradise City by Guns & Roses

UltimatePhoenix

Thats a cracking idea, that work with Crazy Taxi? I replayed that and just didnt feel the same with the same music.

Luke_Hening

Possibly It’s mainly an RPG and puzzle game that is card based For example, you can gain or lose powerful cards based on the decisions you make in the game. Constantly have to think of fresh strategies. Even an option to basically skip the battles and just enjoy the story

Futureshark

Greedfall for £10.19. Is this the PS5 version I presume, doesn't seem too clear on PSN but I assume it is. Worth a punt? Got the PS4 version on PS+ but not played it at all.

Xiaoda

Another vote for Thronebreaker - if you liked Witcher then give this a try.

Brand new cooy of shenmue 3 ps4 for £4.99 instore
mampuya_.

Played this for 5 minutes and it left me genuinely angry so i just turned it off (lol) I absolutely loved the first 2.. I'm hoping it gets better when I decide to stick it back on.

andypearce543

Personally I enjoyed it. But you have to remember it's meant to be in the style of the old ones.

Teabag28

Bring out a switch version ,heat added

alistair94

Be prepared to be disappointed.

quidditys_shore

Played 1 & 2 on the dreamcast but was holding off buying this until I'd completed the ps4 versions of 1&2. Speaking of remaining stuck in the past, I've reserved this at game as well as a couple of evercade cartridges the store has in stock as well!

Well, it's a plastic piece of.... Something. That's what! I'm a big Sega fan, but rubber ducks in their likeness is taking it a little too far. And anything that calls itself a collectable as a product is usually stirring the pot for that precise purpose. So yes, in todays world, we don't need or require manufacturing of such excess. In the end, the irony is that things like this will be the only thing left after all human life is washed away. Maybe I need a holiday and a break from covid....
