Good stuff this but be careful can go all over the place

deanwall

Well said. People don’t pay attention to the product.... stain removal and restores natural whiteness are not the same as a bleached American white look.

robm612

100%. While this may make your teeth whiter initially, in the long run they will stain easier as you are essentially eroding the enamel. The only safe and effective way to whiten your teeth is to have it done through your dentist.

angie193

Not as good as the toothpaste, teeth actually stain with the black powder

I've looked at one of the models, not sure about my own version. It doesn't appear to be a simple job so I might stick to just replacing with a new brush. Thanks for the heads up though.

These were in at least one Tesco for £11.25. Personally got mine for £22.50. Different Tescos reducing to different prices so maybe cheaper in others. Feels completely different to the oral b unit it replaced. Be prepared for expensive head replacements though. Quality electric toothbrush.

I've got the Oral-B 2000 and 3000N. They're good enough, the latest models have Li-ON batteries which have a much longer charge than the old models. Just wait for the frequent price drops. I've had a Philips Sonic care before, didn't like it as much as the Oral-B.

My dad bought something similar from a Chinese supermarket years ago, it does work abit, and probably not as bad for you as people are making out. It's ok to use Eucryl or this every now and then with a light brushing. There are abrasive compounds in almost all toothpaste's anyway. But yeah if you really want whiter teeth then you need to get a groupon deal on laser bleaching or whatever they do.

BonzoDogDooDaa

Use pola night and a decent mouth mould that's what the dentists use. It works out at about £4 per 45 minute application and is very safe

supermann

Could always get some gloss paint instead. Would probably be healthier.

meh, cold

jedijacobs

I personally swear by it. I have a sensitive spot in on my gums and as soon as I started using this, I have no sensitivity at all. Also the one with the whitening is my personal favourite as it does keep them clean and help lift stains. I know I must sound like a rep, but it's the best toothpaste for sensitivity and whitening on the market in my opinion. For £1.75 a tube, it's an absolute no brainer and whenever they're on discount, I buy at least 4! Hope that helps :)

Getting so you can't really trust any reviews anywhere for anything....... reviews are done for now in marketing Love it when celebs come on and say they use this and that.... when you know full well the don't and never will does anyone really believe any of this marketing carp anymore...they more they say how good it is the more you know it's carp ;)

There you go then. Cheers matey. I only put it on coz it seems a good deal. I didn't want to get people's backs up & pi $$ people off. Never tried it myself but I might get some at this price.

Pic says Activated Charcoal??? Thats for flatulence lol

NickyOhMG

Too many false reviews. Take 'best seller' with a pinch of salt as it's not even in the right category for starters and Amazon create so many variables so they can give many products such titles! Probably only selling well due to false reviews and constant sale prices. It also states on one of the pictures that for the best result buy the white strips too (or vice versa buy this with the white strips) which to me just confirms they're not very confident of either product.

Picked the order up Today as I didn't manage to get down to boots on Monday... 1st use this evening and I was shocked about how much whiter my teeth are already! it's taken a lot of the yellowing off especially from around areas of dental glue which are left over from my brace (I keep meaning to get it dremmeled off but I don't fancy paying £50 odd for the privilege) I can't wait to see what it looks like in 10 days!

cookiedoo54

thanks dreamsofubuntu

dreamsofubuntu

I've bought some and plan to give it a go Monday when my order arrives instore. About 50% of the reviews seem pretty positive and I'm wondering if the rest were just expecting more for their money? At the price I'm going to give it a go as it seems a safer option than strips or gumshields with peroxide gel

Gone up to £90.30 now :(

freebie5

It was only £48 so was a bargain compared to RRP and I wanted the longer battery life. I liked the display at first but didn't really like the handle or when it would just stop when battery indicator was okay a second ago. Lots of logic/ and tech that wasn't needed.

chuckley

so if you didn't need the extra features why buy it? I started with the 600, due to the colour varieties but in reality it was the worst 25 spent. you needed severe pressure to get any sort of clean from it and thus I busted my heads far too quickly! and needed to charge it every few days! ive gone through a couple of those models in the last decade to the point I just switched back to manual, but now need 'more' on advice from dentist plus the need for a 6 monthly rather than 1 year check up! So i've seriously just wasted money through the low end one. I was just going to jump to the 1000s models but decided only the top one as I wanted/needed the added features, mainly the deep clean. I find the smart timer and pressure sensor phenomenal as I'm very lazy to stick to 2 minutes in the correct way. plus due to the whack pricing I found it better to jump in at the top for not much more. But the speed is nowhere near the same as the low end one.

Hal

Thanks - codes still work £30.99 delivered. Bought.

ellenw

I use the ProResults standard, the brush head shouldn't make much difference the brush should do all the work, sensitive is probably best if you've never used one before, I've found Sonicare give teeth a really good clean. The brush should have Speed: Up to 31,000 brush strokes/min https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsjZ9mdTCV8

malhal

Thanks for your reply, what brush do you use? I have the sensitive so wondering if maybe that's why.

ellenw

That doesn't sound good, have used different Sonicare brushes over the years and found they clean really well. There's a 28 day money back guarantee, send it back if you're dissatisfied or you may have a faulty one.

malhal

So I've been using this sonicare for a few days and sadly its no different from a normal non-electric toothbrush. It makes a high pitched sound but the brush head hardly moves at all, so you just have to brush as normal. So total waste of money :(
