We don't see 6 months deals often, do we?
Lyca use EE network and it's 5G data with unltd calls and text. 1 month rolling contract so you can cancel it after 6 months. Price goes up after 6 months based on your data.
There are also deals available for 20GB, 30GB, 100GB and unltd data

Things need to be done in order.
Put sim in phone and dial *123# something like that. Details in email.
Had to do it 3 times before it registered.
Then I signed up via desktop. Then app.
Waited until Monday and ported my number.
Porting went off with no issues at all on Tuesday.
Got a text to say it would port and then at about 14.00pm another to say all done.
Turned off phone, switched sims.
Dialled home and number had changed.
5G is good, indoors 60mb and outdoors 300 plus.
Will switch in 5-6 months for another sub £2 offer I hope.
Also when it comes to cancelling and the rolling contract, how does it work? Make sure you cancel at the end of your billing cycle basically and you should be golden?
However, LycaMobile does have limitations such as No wifi calling, and data/sms turned off when on voice calls.
I’m hoping that Lebara can offer similar 6 month deals as I can’t wait to switch back to Lebara from LycaMobile!
As others have said, set up auto renew to avoid this problem. Didn't seem normal not to be able to resume the plan but hey ho.
Customer service is likely to reflect this is a low cost operator. probably similar kind of situation if you compare virgin or BA with easyjet customer services

I remember Lyca having their phone numbers starting with 074,and would get charged instead of being inclusive minutes.
Lyca are pretty awful in general - especially EU roaming, which I've found patchy at best. No such issues with my cheapo Lebara sims.
Dashboard says I havent got 'any credit and to register on to a plan'. Well, I used the £1.49 link to get the sim, the email says I am on the £1.49 for six months MSE plan, but this is nowhere to be found on my dashboard.
I have been charged £1.49 for the sim.
Online chat doesnt work.
This is painful.
The app shows this is a PAYG sim, even though 45p already debited my account when signing up for the sim only 6 months deal.
Can't make calls as i get a auto message saying i have insufficient credit and to top up.
I'm guessing this is affected by the current issues with their systems - who knows when this will be sorted?!
Wont be porting my number over until its sorted (edited)
Will probably get this as a backup eSIM
From all other networks, I would not recommend this network to anyone, please pay extra but stay away from lyca
If you tried them before and had a bad experience I would reccomend to try them again! Also e-Sims are now available if you're into that and I have read on a couple of news sites when googling that "The partnership (with EE) will also provide Lyca Mobile customers with future access to services such as WiFi calling."
So watch this space!
what a way to run a network
Theyve lost my business As a result of this
i was ready to port two numbers to Lyca too but not any more
