What a faff

tungle106

They do keep water hot for longer and also you don't feel hot from the outside That's the purpose of travel mugs

Xad

So are these travel mugs any good at keeping hot drinks hot for longer, or is the insulation mostly to prevent your hands from getting scolded? Does the outside get hot, both the metal and plastic one? I'm guessing they'll help keep ice cold drinks cold for longer also?

tungle106

Maybe that was me lol

jamie015

I get some of the sandwiches and dinner is sorted ;) Eat in AND takeaway. Yesterday I ate 3 sandwiches (2 at Costa, 1 at home), 2 drinks (1 hot and 1 cold) and a brownie. Can't eat more than that, but I took someone else who ate something and took a lot of stuff to takeaway!

Brilliant guys whoever managed to get it.....

Thanks for posting.. Heat added. I must be one of the few to get the vouchers via the app.

phoenician_sailor

I was in store earlier and the cashier mentioned something absout a kids shoe sale going live to card members this week and that it would be open to everyone at a later point. I wasn’t listening to the specifics tbh as I don’t plan on going but now I’m curious how this would work in terms of knowing how much each item is if it’s presumably not going to be marked down until it’s properly live to all.

HotBot

No, I called them and they do issue paper vouchers. They only stop sending them if you have activated the App. In any case neither were receiving any vouchers by any means. When I called them they said they would send some out and ask their IT department to look into it.

B3B3B3B3

Not in the 'my rewards' ? I don't think they do paper vouchers anymore so your wife would need to get the app in order to get them.

toffeelover

But I bet lots of us do (embarrassed) I tend to cut them in half before I shove them in the freezer, so that reduces them to only 16 or 17 teaspoons, so as long as I don't wash it down with a couple of cokes, all is well XD

Dealio98

Well obviously but my point is that there's a ridiculous amount of sugar in even a very small portion. Lots of people lack self control when it comes to comfort foods like ice cream and chocolate. Yes, you could blame it on the individual but at the same time the food industry pumps almost everything with sugar. It seems the only real way to maintain a healthy sugar intake is to avoid processed foods and eat fresh; convenience food and high calorie, high sugar food is exactly what is making us ill

Trongate, Glasgow store also has these Cake Stands, which didn't have a barcode sticker, as before, so the assistant scanned it as "Snickers" at £1 (maybe they are all barcode-less on shelves?) and also kindly wrapped it up in tissue paper :) Picture of the receipt from yesterday, from the MSE thread (where I was mentioning the Clean & Clear Foaming Wash 150ml I bought for my niece). I was also pretty amazed to find another Sleek Eye & Cheek Palette - Dancing Til Dusk which scanned at 50p.

Begize

I was out with mate (who's a doctor) and we were in a bar where two beardy types were talking about how gluten was really bad for you, it was all being covered up by the food industry and how since going gluten free, they felt so much healthier and would never let it pass their lips again. Mate took great delight in pointing out that the craft brew beer they were also waxing lyrical about contained gluten.

Quicker they sell out the more money goes into making more , so doesn't matter rwhos buying them as long as it all sells

3 for 2 on the non-dairy cheeses too, which makes them a very good price! Hopefully still on offer later today when I go in

My bad - should have been more specific - the TCP snap-save thingie is indeed only 1 claim per account - which explains the 75p thing, sorry! Shame on the melted ice-cream - tch tch.

Supa

The deal says nothing about a limit of how many tubs per receipt, but I bought 7 on 1 receipt and when I uploaded it, it said total 75p, made me wonder?? Can anyone confirm, it's my 1st time using cashback! Also on a separate note, I went to morrisons and twenty minutes later I got home and I noticed when putting them in the freezer, they were half melted already (wasn't even that hot/sunny.) Must have had a problem with their freezers, it's all crunchy now as it's been re-frozen, epic fail! I'm still eating it haha, just so sad it's not soft like it usually is!!

LT123

This stuff is one of the best flavours ever. It's seriously amazing. Me and my fella eat a full one (straight from the tub.... Philistines haha) religiously every Friday night. The trick is to NEVER look at the nutritional info... Ever.

Shinoke

1,170 calories 65 grams of fat 120 grams of sugar (24 teaspoons). Half a litre of ice cream, especially as rich as this is a lot. It's a lot if you're trim or not, but if you're not you're certainly not helping yourself. I'm enjoying the lower calorie ice cream, and simple flavours you can add stuff too. In a bowl, heh.

Shinoke

I've seen people do that on sitcoms etc. and also thought it was ridiculous - do people actually do that - take a tub and spoon with them and eat out of the tub? I just wanted to chime in and say Ben & Jerry's is ridiculously sickly and this sounds terrible. All their flavours are so American, and just a different spin on chucking loads of sweet crap into ice cream. Normally pieces of chocolate, cake/dough/fatty stuff, and caramel or syrup. At least Haagen Dazs does decent flavours. Yeo Valley ice cream very rich and nice. Personally I'd like to see more coffee ice cream, pistachio, tiramisu, walnut, irish cream, rum raisin - basically nuts, coffee, and alcohol. The free cone day reaffirmed for me that Ben & Jerry's really is too sweet and sickly for me. Not voted but hot for those that actually like it. /just a pointless ramble passing through. I'll get my coat.
