Sounds like you are nose blind to the scent as per the other persons comment. It does happen. I have a few frags I appear to go noseblind to. Sauvage does feel like it at times. I got Arron Terance Hughes Neon recently and I literally could not smell a thing, my ex however said, "Jesus, you bathed in cologne!". ATH Neon is an Ambroxan beast, so like Sauvage has similar elements.
Try dark by abaco Paris, you can get it from tk maxx for 15 quid. Usual retail price is 70 and smells very similar to sauvage as also has ambergris as a note. Found it lasts longer and projects more than sauvage too. Tried sauvage before and you do forget you're wearing it.
I mean.... yeah, cheers, I'm not naive enough to imagine that sort of effect not existing at all, but after taking so much time away from it, I'd expect it to have some sort of effect. Don't really want to be wearing something I can't smell myself. Regardless of whatever effects are going on, I was just stating my personal experience :)))
Read for yourself "Can't smell my perfume (new perfume)?: fragrance" https://www.reddit.com/r/fragrance/comments/gr8thc/cant_smell_my_perfume_new_perfume/?utm_source=amp&utm_medium=&utm_content=post_body
Unless it’s the perfumers strategy hahah(skeptical)

Genuinely can’t remember the name of the company I purchased it from, know it was someone I’ve never used before just can’t get the name. Even checked through my emails as normally always keep receipts in a separate folder but can’t find one for it. I just remember using google at the time & went onto trustpilot to check the reviews. When it comes to me I’ll PM you!
When was it reformulated?
Can agree with you on the Colonia Sandalo, very nice fragrance had a good few compliments when wearing it...actually managed to scalp a 180ml bottle for just over £60 delivered.
Just ordered 100ml sauvage edt with £10 off current price then using reqm60 code to save further 10% and student discount got it for £49.41 with 516 points and extra 400 for spending over £20. Does that sound like a good price?
You have to log in and use code REQM60 or REQM30 to get £100.80.
Use the code REQM60 or REQM30 when logged in (y)
I’m sure you can stack the £10 off £60 spend offer Bonus for students extra 10% off
Thats a shame bud, I get around 6 hours of longevity on my skin with 2 hours of decent projection, before it settles down and becomes less intrusive. If this doesn't work, a Valentino Uomo Intense is pretty similar with better performance, although I've recently heard they have discontinued that scent also. :(
Yep... love the scent but within an hour or two theres no sign of it on the skin. I've even used scent free lotion before application with no results. Pity really. Would not recommend for this reason.
Have the intense EDP and doesn't last long at all
I agree for Dior Homme which got reformulated but I think the intense version is still a beast
The mont blanc stuff are a decent buy...legend spirit and legend night
Thanks for the Noir Ambre, I'll check it out. I recently picked up 100ml of Dior Sauvage for under £50 from Boots (y)

Are there are any designer fragrances worth buying as, even with the code, you can find them cheaper elsewhere? (Heat given)
Thanks for posting. Your thread has been selected for our Highlights pages (highfive)
EDP has some spice notes added to it, smells a bit more rich and warm, the EDT has a bit more of a cool fresh scent. Either one is a good buy but the spice scent isn’t to everyone’s taste.
I prefer EDP. It just has that something different. With EDT now it seems every 20 something is wearing it. I smell it everywhere I go. Don't get me wrong, it is a lovely smell but if you want a smell that is a little different the EDP personally. I moved to Bleu de Chanel as my main but I think that is going to get popular.
I would always advise buy a tester off eBay/shop samples before you commit.
Has anyone received theirs? Mine was supposed to have arrived earlier this week and the tracking said it left customs and was out for delivery, but never arrived. Had to go through 2 customer service reps to get it refunded even though the app itself told me told me to go ask for a refund if it hadn't arrived by the 20th. Wondering now if I should bother buying it again with this long wait time and possible hassle of lost shipping. Especially for something I've never smelt before.
Back in stock but slightly higher price at £54.87, page says only 7 left in stock.
Cheers for sharing @Sean_Dowling - nice find :)
Strange. Never had problems with longevity unless you might go nose blind with some fragrances
Fantastic bottle, I recently purchased a 50ml bottle via Esentual and can confirm that on my skin, I'm getting around 7/8 hours of longevity which is pretty good. It's French perfumery at its finest, the combination or Iris and cacoa mixed with a powdery dry down is so devine and is a huge compliment getter! Is it a blind buy worthy? Depends if u are edgy and appreciate an acquired taste. I would personally decant it before buying in case the lipsticky vibe u get (some say) is not for u. For those that are collectors, its a must have in my opinion.

£4 per 100ml difference if you're a hukd'er and shop smart ;)
I'm not too sure. Dior Sauvage megafans will probably like it. Apparently, it's meant to be more environmentally friendly. You're right about the saving as well, only about £11 per 100ml if you go with the retail price.
But why not just use the 300ml bottle in the first place? Extra storage space needed and end up dropping some whilst decanting. The saving isn't all that much either.
I was elaborating on the comment So I went off on a bit of a tangent talking about those old-school scents. For clarity, the rollerball of Hypnotic Poison smells like Play-Doh. As does the EDT - Fragranticans support this. Some say the EDP is different, can't comment on that. Of course there are some crazy people who love that scent, so it's all down to personal taste. Or smell.
But this one smells nothing like the Dior originale or the rollerball.... so are you recommending it or putting us off it? Yes i hate aldehydes/floral too, one main one that spring to mind is Chanel no5 I feel it smells to powdery and not worth the asking price.
Yeah my mum's the sort who likes old-school scents like No 5, L'air Du Temps, Anais Anais (which all kinda smell the same to me, twee florals or chemically aldehydes are not my thing, they're very old-fashioned, I think). I was regifted Miss Dior (Originale) a few years ago from someone who hated it. Gave it to my sister, who then gave it to someone else - think it ended up binned (embarrassed) Should've given it to my dear old mum!
