I can see where your coming from, but as far as I'm concerned, if I've helped one person by drawing attention to what in my opinion is a decent whisky at a great price then I'm happy.

Well mine arrived damaged, think caused by ups, the label had been cut out from the original Amazon box and stuck on with sellotape onto another. The glenmorangie box was damaged inside

£24 in Sainsbury. Would choose this all day long over a non-age statement bottled at 40%.

if you like Dr Pepper as a mixer, try it with a strong Islay malt. match made in heaven. i try to avoid watering down my good stuff, but i'm no snob. also, £25 is the proper price for this bottle, so heat added, but it's not an incredible deal. the whisky itself good, and i have one on the shelf, but as an everyday Highland whisky that's not going to break the bank, i reckon that Ardmore Legacy that's constantly going for £18 quite often makes more sense, even if in this case you're paying £7 more for an extra 7 years age...

Excellent value for money single malt. Relatively mild . Very good first single malt or even a first whisky for those who are trying these for the first time.. Have it neat please . Don't murder a good single malt with coke. :-( If you are after a cheaper whisky then try the chivas regal 12 year old blended Scotch. 70cl is £20 at Tesco and you can get £2.50 cashback with checkoutsmart making it £17.50

Cheers. I've looked at them before but as a buyer. The carriage costs put me off bidding much. But you are limited with ebay, gumtree and preloved all banning alcohol.

sorry if anyone feels mislead i spoke to customer services and they made it pretty clear the £5 should be coming off the order i was making. the asked me to put the item in my basket whilst i was on the phone and applied the discount for £5 before i purchased it there and then. I was told they will credit the £5 48 hours after ordering.

Amazon addition promotion doesn’t add to the checkout. So you end up paying £25 per bottle. If you speak to customer services they claim it’s due to tax (basically trying to baffle you with rubbish - very poor from amazon to offer a promotion and not honour it) please be warned. Hopefully you get to talk to a more competent customer services advisor than me.

Does anyone know how this compares to the Glenmorangie Sonnalta PX? I'm nearing the end of a bottle & won't pay the insane price for a new one... maybe this will be a good alternative?

Well if you buy a £30 gift card and buy the Glenmorangie at £25 that leaves you £5 on the gift card. Amazon is giving £6 with £30 gift cards so that then leaves you with £11. From your original £30 spend you now have £11, so thats £19 for the Glenmorangie. Granted it is £11 on Amazon and not cash.
