This is the make version of a virginity belt (:I

Thanks for posting. Your thread was selected for our Highlights section (highfive)

Got two,one for up stairs and one down stairs

No, but recommend getting married and buying a house first before getting into this hobby. Your partner will then be trapped, and forced to appear interested.

Do you have to be single and live with your mum to buy this ?

Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS £325 used B-grade £325 at Cex£325CeX Deals
A little cheaper than its going Ebay with better warranty.

I thought she said "Thrusting Hamster"? :p

Some people might think 325 quid for seconds is a good deal. Which is fair enough. I don't.

Can still be purchased brand new from Box for £399 : Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS £399.99 at - hotukdeals

B Grade at CEX is basically shorthand for "item was found in the wreckage of a nuclear power station explosion"

My mrs called me the thrust master. Can last all day with the cheap blue pills on here

Back in stock at last at Box ... No need to pay £500 for 2nd hand on eBay or £799 to the scalpers :-) £403 at Thrustmaster Shop

Now I just need some pedals !! Might as well look for the Holy Grail at the same time !!

Yup should have never sold it :-(

Yes I know what you mean but the pedals are only £90 quid so not bad when you can get hold of them !! It's strange ... Like driving an auto for the first time when you have spent a lifetime driving a manual. You are just programmed to twist ... Not too bad with the heavy metal and fighters but anything with a prop is a non starter. Elite as well... Not going to bother with that till I have the pedals. Have a mate who went through this about 4 years ago though and he came through the other side... He said the main problem now is having cold feet because he flies with just his socks lol !

I don't think I could get over not having twist on the stick. I'm so used to it and don't really want to shell out another hunge on top for pedals. How do you find it?

Undecided atm, still not sure if i'll be spending more time in DCS or IL-2. Need to fire up MP with both. With the new pedals I am tempted to look at some of the helicopters in DCS, already gave the Huey a quick try. Focusing on VR a lot as well, and unfortunately DCS VR isn't particularly optimised even with a high-end system. Mounts and/or a seat is what i'm looking at next, not sure I have the space for a dedicated seat but a foldable mount would work.

Actually with the current situation, having to pre-order, i thought i'll just get some niche gear, also grabbed a couple of ''MonstertechJoystick / HOTAS Table Mounts''. Are you grabbing anything in the Steam DCS sale starting tomorrow?.

Yeah they're both solid. I'm only really just getting back into sims atm, just updated DCS to try all the temporarily free modules and my new VKB pedals just arrived. Was worried I'd overspent but they're 100% worth it.

Personal choice aside, you cant go wrong with either. I must admit, the current shortage of controls has pushed me to be patient and pre-order quality controls, just ordered a ''ALPHA FLIGHT CONTROLS - YOKE AND SWITCH PANEL''. I am in the market for an F-14 stick, and although the Virpil stick is Ok, i do quite like the VKB offering more, but as you pointed out, the overheads do mount up. The next big DCS update looks awesome by the way.

Virpil tend to be significantly pricier. VKB are best value for money, imo. Virpil are there for when you can sink lots of money into the hobby. Although I suspect VKB's higher end offerings are a good matchup for virpil.

Thrustmaster TCA Airbus Edition Trottle & Stick "Officer Pack" in stock £149.99 @ Box£149.99 Free P&P Deals
More a stock heads-up than a deal this (though TBF this is the cheapest place with stock). The TCA edition throttle and stick are now in stock at Box. Happy flight simming, people… Read more

I got ended up getting both within a few weeks of each other...took a bit of explaining

Expired. Throttle still available, but the Officer Pack and the Stick have both sold out.

Cheers. I'll show that to my wife. (y) Yeah, I went on YT to watch a few reviews which always helps convince me that I do actually want something I've already ordered. It worked. I told her I was edging towards a racing wheel instead because I couldn't find any HOTAS, which are more expensive. That softened the news. :D

Argh. Nooooo! Why did you have to point that out :p Yeah, it probably is a better deal TBF.

Now we really are Billy No Mates. You aint seen nothing yet. Just imagine what Boris is going to do to the 37.5 hr working week, no wonder he was euphoric?. Now we have no one in our corner. Joysticks will be the least of our worries.

The Airbus looks amazing. Fully ambidextrous too. If/when they come in stock, I'll be tempted to sell on the X52 Pro. If stock wasn't an issue, that's the stick I'd have bought. They were available direct from Thrustmaster for European stores last week. But they temporarily shut the UK store because of Brexit ;(

I play with both and tbh memorising all the buttons is really long and I just end up using my controller

Gone :(. I would have bought this, but it's the Airbus officer pack I really want. Not great playing FS2020 with an Xbox pad, I haven't tried anything other than Cessnas.

It might be the only HOTAS available anywhere in the country, but I can't justify that amount of money. Will keep waiting. 😔
