That's a bugger – I've been looking for a new printer for ages and went to buy this yesterday but the payment timed out. Tried again this morning and it's £20 more. :-/

Price has gone back to £89.99. Expire?

I'm really happy with my Instant Ink and my HP printer in general. You can get extra free Instant Ink months if you use a code from an existing user + some promotional codes that are available "out there". I don't think I can post them here though.

How else would you expect they get the ink to you? The ink levels are monitored and replacements are ordered and posted 1st class way before levels are critical. I've had mine a few months and it's worked seamlessly.

I bought one of these from Argos for £40 last week but it only has 4 months instant ink. So far, it’s been fine for regular printing and surprisingly good for photos, albeit not amazing quality. Easy to set up and all my printing has been done via my iPhone. Can’t knock it for the price and for doing what I need it to do

Cheaper on ebay and some sellers sell with Ink

In product details it says: "Please Note: No Ink Cartridges. Only Power Cable is included" It is cold for me!

Does this work with Instant Ink?

Suggest you check price of cartridges, before even thinking of an HP. Not all Epsons work with compatibles now. Suggest you check with compatible ink suppliers before buying. I use compatibles on new A3 Epson and not noticed difference, apart from how little ink the original Epson cartriges contained. If you are planning for a few years use with moderate usage of photos and maps etc. you will save hundreds using compatibles in the long term. Half the problem with any printer is getting everything right first time. Cheaper to print drafts on plain paper until they look Ok. Even then not 100% success first time. Forget nonsense about fading. All photos will fade in sunlight, and cheaper to reprint occasionally. You will NEVER match quality of a professional using thousands of pounds worth of kit, and charging about £25 per picture.

Manual does mean feeding the paper back in, it’s a little tough on a normal one as it will immediately print 1,2,3,4... etc.. on available paper. A manual one will print 1,3,5,7 so you can slot the paper back in to print 2,4,6,8 if that makes sense?

Same price in argos with 4 months instant ink and you get a pack of photo sticker papers worth £9.99 free. Really good printer, bought one yesterday.

Been subscribed to instant ink for 2 years, assuming the print volume you need fits the limits it’s a fab service and well priced too

I read somewhere it's £1 per 10 pages or something. I guess I'll take advantage of the free trial and see what my usage is after 4 months. But as you say £1.99 isn't anything to worry about and it does give you a good allowance especially with the odd photo here and there.

I need some reasonably priced ink for this printer! It's still bonkers how it's cheaper just to buy another printer rather than the ink

Yeah go for instant ink any it will be equally as cheap as those awful non-hp inks. I used to work in staples and had no end of people who’s printer had been messed up by the inferior ink not to mention it will void the warranty.

I'd like to know this too! What's the score?

Good printer, quick and simple to setup, instant ink with the trial can work out very cheap. Recommended

Great deal and you can extend the free ink trail by 10 months for 300 pag a month which work out less then £3.32 a month and free printer heat added

I use Lightroom, Photoshop and Premier Pro on it. Haven't had any hiccups yet with it, the screen is really good albeit 1920x1080. I have the i5 / 8gb ram varient, however, there is the i7 / 16gb ram version as well. It's definitely a top performer, but the main thing about it is it's build quality, it's really good.

Would you recommend it for graphic design? (Photoshop, Illustrator etc)

Have they improved things since this review ? It’s pretty scathing https://www.notebookcheck.net/HP-Envy-x360-15-Ryzen-5-2500U-Radeon-Vega-8-Laptop-Review.266614.0.html

Thank you for that. I will give it a try. (y)

U have to print a few more for the nozzle to be back to normal. Or use the "clean cartridge" option in your printer software/properties. It will do a print and it will flood the nozzle to get it unblocked and back to normal

Thanks, already had this deal last year but its now ran out, well worth another £50, and Ill sell my existing one for £20 so only £30 in the end!

The problem with all inkjets - if you don't print regularly, the nozzles clog with dry ink, sometimes requiring an expensive replacement cartridge. I'm waiting for a colour laser deal - will never buy an inkjet again because of this.

Struggle all you like!I just didn’t like the carbon fibre deck and overall I just didn’t think it looked as classy as the Envy. Yes, it had a great spec but whilst I realise it isn’t, it looked like a far cheaper laptop.

What have you been doing to it for it to do that?! If mine “falls apart” it will be going back under the warranty

I'm struggling to believe you've even seen an XPS, I replaced my Envy with an XPS and it beats it in every area by a clear mile.

The difference is HUGE, especially on the i5, quad core Vs dual. If you've seen my comments on these Envy laptops on other posts you'll see they are shocking, extremely noisy fan, rubber feet fell off mine within a week due to overheating, the screen had bleed and started getting blemishes all over, the hinge literally snapped from lifting it by the screen which i have done on every laptop I've ever owned, mine has the i5-7200u and it's a total dog, it even freezes just browsing the net, the touchpad started sticking after a few months so bad I had to use a mouse.

Not had the opportunity to switch it on yet! :/ but the build quality seems very good. It is sleek and solid and nicer than an XPS13 that I looked at last week, which looked cheap in comparison.

Has everyone who got this been ok with it reliability wise. Since I set up last month I have had issues. I have had a paper jam and also now when I go to load up the A4 tray, it is showing out of paper? Maybe a sensor issue but not good? Not sure if they will collect it or I will have to return it. I find the tray is a bit flimsy and when moving the tabs apart then lining it up the A4 isn`t sitting where the A4 guide line is?

The initial 9 month code I believe you can only obtain when you first set your printer up. Find a referral link and then signup from there which will automatically give you 1 month. Then somewhere early on it asks you if you have any codes which you put in the one that came from your printer for another 9. Finally you go through all the setup and right at the end is a promotion code box which you can put the 2 months code in. Hope that all makes sense.

How did you manage to enter the codes onto your account?

All setup...have to admit to being a bit confused over the HP account setup....I assume just because I've gone through the process I've got the 9 month free trial as per the card in the printer packaging, but can't see anything on-screen telling me that's the case (PS - I must be extra slow but I couldn't find any further 2 month code...any help??) Hi I also need this for occasional homework for my daughter. Please can someone confirm if I will be able to sign up to the 15 page print per month free package before I rush out to buy it. Thanks

Seems like I have to find a cheap printer out of that list

From what I have read the free plan is only available for newer models. This might have come out just before that?

The free plan was an option on my printer thati got a few months ago, but I believe you have to select it from the set up and therefore cannot make use of the max allowance during the trial and then downgrade to it. Edit: I have HP OfficeJet 4658

The list definitely looks like the free 15 page plan should be available for this printer and the 5544 I have, I just don't know of anyone who has been able to select the option? Maybe someone on here has managed to somehow, I couldn't see it anywhere when I ran the setup.

HP ENVY Curved 34-b070na All-in-One £1299 @ Microsoft
Found 2nd JanFound 2nd Jan
Just bought. Appears to be £500-600 cheaper than elsewhere.

I had been looking at the last i5 version of this 34” Envy AIO about 1.5-2yrs ago and I ended up opting for the Skull Canyon NUCi7KYK with 32GB ram, 256GB SSD attached to the back of a widescreen monitor by VESA mount Suited my purposes and about 1/3 the price.

Saw it there twelfth in December. It’s a very good looking AIO

Just got it delivered. It does have infra red camera for windows hello, review vids says it doesn't. Looks less intrusive than the Dell 2710 which it is replacing. First impressions, screen is stunning and sound good compared to dell pc, but not as good as my bose soundlink wireless speaker that I use for music in the office (lacks bass, but vocals are amazing).

I don't understand this - they put a £300 CPU in it, but then cheap out with 8GB of RAM and a crappy GPU :s GPU us probably soldered, but it has thunderbolt 3 so you can go the egpu route :)

poor GPU, can it be upgraded? or is soldered to the board?

Thanks for the advice, strangely after getting the message that I cannot combine codes after entering the code and the message saying only the higher code will be counted. Try the live chat option and see if they can manually add it, found them to be quite helpful

I just entered the 2montysdjuk code and it says promotion codes cannot be combined? I already have the 9 months displaying as just activated on new envy printer purchased this week. Is there any way if adding the extra months?
