The biggest problem is the stupid opening hours. Why do they all shut so early?!? The rollercoasters in this country are pretty good, we're blessed on that front. But why don't we have a good dark ride?!??

Doesn't it stipulate 1 free ticket redeemable at theme park and the other for sealife? Not applicable to monthly subscription either so not that good a deal really. Merlin Annual Passholders will receive two unique codes which they can redeem for two free tickets on the Merlin Annual Pass website. Free tickets are valid until 31st December 2019 and subject to attraction opening dates. Free tickets do not include entry to seasonal events or special events. 1 free ticket will only be available to book at Alton Towers Resort, Chessington World of Adventures Resort, THORPE PARK Resort, LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort and Warwick Castle. 1 free ticket will be available to book at SEA LIFE aquariums & sanctuaries around the UK, Madame Tussauds (London & Blackpool), Blackpool Tower, Shrek’s Adventure! London, Coca-Cola London Eye, The Dungeons (York, London, Edinburgh & Blackpool) and LEGOLAND® Discovery Centres (Birmingham & Manchester). Offer is not available on Standard or Premium Merlin Pass Monthly Membership. Offer is not available on staff discount purchases. Offer is not valid on upgrades from Standard Merlin Annual Pass to a Premium Merlin Annual Pass.

Ah they must be new packets as the terms and conditions on the website says 31st July 2019. Still, 2020 is even better 8)

Mofette

Packet I have just picked up, the deal expires 31/7/2020 - so good for quite a while!

andrewworrall1

Voucher valid until 31st July 2019, there's no way the packs are only available until the end of May, they're still available in literally almost any shop I go in that sells chocolate

skidderbrown

Yes The website says the packs are available until the end of May.. Guess there might be some hanging around...Off hunting I go...

andrewworrall1

Most good shops (and some rubbish ones too) should sell the promotional packets. No need to send any forms off, just cut the voucher out from the packaging, take it to the selected attraction you're going to, buy a full price adult ticket and you should then get an additional free ticket

well that peace of card i think is in the large green bin in the garden i really dont wanna me going through it looking for a code :-(

sheffield788

I am pretty sure you are right, but in my case, this message was displayed. They don't even know me and they think I am dodgy:).

deleted1723072

No message came up for me, normally you just self scan the tickets on entry without seeing any human. I doubt very much they will be expecting customers to keep some old peace of cardboard from a old cerial packet.

sheffield788

I've just booked my tickets on line and after adding the code, a message came suggesting the tickets will be valid only with the physical voucher attached to them...

sheffield788

20%-40% savings for a family of 3 plus toddler. Just got some tickets for Manchester Legoland, you can use the voucher to buy on line, the difference is the discount will go towards full price tickets. Better to book on line, to have the entry guaranteed. Booked for 2 adults, 1 child and a toddler, saving about 20% against on line tickets without a voucher, and about 40% against prices at the gate. At the gate prices are £20.95 per adult, £16.95 per child. Total for all of us = £58.85 The price on line is £15.95 per adult (x2 adults) + £11.95 paying child, toddler goes free = £43.85 With the voucher: £20.95 one adult, second adult goes free, £14.41 paying child = £35.36 Saving £8.49 against on line prices without the voucher, saving £23.49 against the at the gate price. Tickets printed at home. The voucher is slightly 'misleading', suggesting you buy a child or adult ticket and the other adult goes free. However, you can't buy a child ticket, you have to pay £20.95. This price is for 3 years+, however on website the child tickets are cheaper.

Just went to book Madame Tussaud’s and availability is shocking can’t book Saturdays no school holiday and can only book 9am or 5pm unless you can go Monday to Friday at all. Sometimes the conditions of this offer is ridiculous. Good job I don’t buy the paper and collect the codes from the customers at work! But if a naughty thing they are doing saying you can go on any date there is more non days then there is available days

I don't suppose you have any of the old codes do you? I've just found out about this deal and there aren't enough days left for me to get 9 codes? Fingers crossed...

Sephiroth

Fair point. I guess I was just hoping they'd made a monthly subscription type thing rather than spreading the cost of an annual pass over a year. The Merlin passes are great value for what you get. I had one last year but I haven't renewed because their main attractions are quite far away from Newcastle and I just about break even on one over the year as opposed to other ticketing deals.

PAULTRD

Not exactly a catch... Its called an annual pass. You don't get your car insured and pay on monthly instalments then say "Figured there would be a catch... 12 month minimum term"...

Sephiroth

Figured there would be a catch... 12 month minimum term.

Sale started, not as good as last year. Only £10 saving

BricksBricksBricks

Sale starts on 18th, no idea what it consists of yet. Expect £20 off the renewal per pass as per previous years

erutku

yay! that's what I thought! thanks for confirming the glitch :-) I will wait for the sale apparently "might" start on 18th and if not I'll do "renewal" in Feb. cheers!

BricksBricksBricks

Per Merlin's rules, no. In actuality, literally, physically, yes. The system they use (Accesso) accepts 16/18 digits for a pass number, but does nothing with them. It doesn't search, process, or in any other way make use of the number you enter. 16/18 random numbers, 0's etc, will all allow you to proceed. In terms of them checking your renewal, I've renewed in the past and have not been asked for my previous MAP, so I never had to show it. This happens at all attractions, across the board, though your best bet would be to go to a Midway, and if they asked for a pass, tell them you forgot it. Trying to get them to upgrade a LEGOLAND season pass will result in them getting confused, which really does not take them much at all. To recap: Yes, go for it. They never check etc.

erutku

Does anyone know if I can renew/upgrade to "Merlin Annual Pass" from my "LEGOLAND Season Pass 2018". There are numbers on the cards so I can go through MAP online renewal. I did this until the end of the online form just before payment and it looks like it would allow me to renew with Legolan Season Pass 2018 number. Of course I cancelled as I was not sure and it says tickets are non-refundable etc. Would that renewal be honored if I purchased it? (This could be a glitch of course)
