Not a bad mower for mowing but the handle is a pain after a while. It comes loose at the bottom, also worth changing the red plastic tightners for butterfly nuts.
Bought it two months ago, works really well. Hot
Rubbish unfortunately. I’ve had this less than a year and it can’t trim my whole garden without overheating (I think). Unless the grass is really short and it’s not working hard, it cuts out constantly. I’ll be getting a petrol mower soon.
Bought this from argos for slightly less money it's (poo) on slightly damp grass forget it keeps cutting out. The grass collector kept clogging up. My 10 year old flymo was better. Unfortunately can't take it back to argos as the first time I used it was a couple of months after I bought it

it used to be the colour of the motor cover on the top (black on the European ones) but I haven't seen any for while. Maybe they have moved all the production of the small ones to China?
How to differentiate between the ones made in China and Europe?
I'm on my third one since March. Only cut the lawn about 5 times.
Mine was great until the motor burnt out on the first mow of the lawn this year. I was advised at the time to get the more expensive versions that are made in the EU (UK?) but didn't listen. Now I will have to get another. Pay cheap, buy twice etc.
Awful Chinese-made cheapie Rotak. The European made ones look similar but are far better.

Decent price but not the best mower. I bought one for about £120 about 6 months ago to replace an old Rotak that died after many years of service. This replacement is poor in comparison. It feels cheap and has an uncomfortable handle and the cutting levels are less useful than the old one (one is far too close a cut then the next isn't close enough).
Oh I haven't got a bitak, I bought a different lawnmower as this one was full price at the time
How do you find it? My neighbour has been moaning it does not cut as tight as his old Rotak.
Yes. Was too random for my liking. Everything I checked didn't work
This is a bargain, it's the wider one, I'd have had this if I didn't buy one a few months back heat!

Nice find and first deal @Tatts584 - cheers for sharing :)
Have the step up in size and model and echo the general sentiment. Plays heavily on the premium brand but are not built to last. Motor burnt out after two years and annoyingly just outside the warranty period. Disappointing. Took apart in the hopes of repair and salvage. Everything is plastic which inevitably goes brittle with the weather and it literally just fell to pieces. Wouldn't buy another Bosch mower they are nothing special.
Had mine 6 years. Stripes the lawn beautifully. Sharpened the blade a few times but it's cost me nothing. The cable is too short though. Only thing that's broken is the red plastic teeth either side.
I would not buy, had one rotak fail recently, bearing went. Basically non removable part, managed to remove it, put in new bearing, nothing broken, no damage, but doesn't sit straight, one side is few mm lower than other one and no matter how much you try to adjust it - it won't sit straight. And motor overheats and cuts off as it is spinning at the angle. Waste of space, never bosch again. Will get professional Makita for double the price but will have peace of mind.
If you have a Wickes nearby and it is in stock this is a much better buy - https://www.wickes.co.uk/Flymo-Speedi-Mo-360C-Lawnmower---1500W/p/174680
The previous version B&Q had was a different ean. The later version they have is the ean which matches the latest version on the Bosch site. Not sure about the Amazon ones. Is it an advanced Rotak as that sounds dear for a universal tbh. Do you know the ean? The ean is shown on the B&Q pages Old version diy.com/departments/bosch-rotak-universal-650-corded-lawnmower/3165140981330_BQ.prd New version diy.com/departments/bosch-rotak-universal-650-corded-rotary-lawnmower/4059952526768_BQ.prd?utm_campaign=bau&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_source=awin&utm_content=Discount+Code&utm_term=47868&awc=483_1598634643_928420987d3a1b7eb1e84a4ad40d1609
Are we sure this on is gen 2? Didn’t find anything about this. The gen 2 on Amazon is £237!!
Anyone bought and used this yet? Is it any good?
I think the B&Q reviews refer to the generation 1 with a different ean number. The new one now available is the generation 2 with a different ean number (no reviews yet). Not sure whether that means it’s still got the same issues or they have been resolved. I don’t know unfortunately
