Tesco link says 'This pole hedge trimmer has an 1800-2350mm adjusting length ranger' For comparisson with other pole hedge trimmers Tesco's is 400W for £30. On Aldi's website theirs is 1010W for £59.99. Toolstation sell a 900W Einhell trimmer for £93.96. Screwfix have a 550W MacAllister trimmer for £59.99.

Brightsideoflife

Are the black and decker hedge trimmers any good does anyone know. No reviews for them.

Assuming it’s the full width of the door then whilst it’ll do it’ it’ll take a bit of time and effort, you are also likely to use quite a few sanding sheets - in short yes it will do it but you’d be better off using a planer and using the sander to give a smooth finish.

milko

This any good to shave a couple of mm of the bottom of a door

f4se8ook

rimalpatel007

Can this drill be used to do flap pack furniture? Does it comes with the drill bits?

Khattackaa1

Will this drill. Into a brick? Or is this just for soft work like woods n that?

Ditto the folks above - got mine for £90 on Amazon just under a year ago. Very good strimmer, powerful and the battery life has never been an issue in my suburban garden.

TheChiefExecutive

It was £89 on Amazon a couple of weeks ago and posted on HUKD - I bought then. It doesn't drop that low very often according to camelcamelcamel. Amazon may well match or beat the Very price shortly - they have been charging around £140 over the last few days. I'm really pleased with mine - use it on the allotment - battery lasts around 40 mins on the eco-setting. Definitely worth £89 (I installed the Amazon toolbar for an extra fiver off) I'd hold out for a lower price than £109.99

R0adRat

It was an Amazon deal of the day I think. Camel camel should show how often it dips but not in a position to look at the mo.

barney19

Yeah agreed, but best price at the moment. I will hang on to hopefully the price you paid!

R0adRat

Very good but a bit dear at this price. I paid £89 last year.

Picked one of these up in Cheltenham yesterday, great deal. Thanks OP! One thing that is driving me crazy - where are you supposed to keep the brush tool? I can't see a clip for it anywhere!

alex_gregory_uk

I bought 4 in total in the end for family. One of them the battery light didn't light up when it was on the charging base like the others. I'm not sure if it was actually charging or not but returned it and swapped it for a working one. So far so good but I'm aware of a few people having charging issues.

Wammer

Has anyone who bought this had problems with it? I bought one last Friday, plugged it in overnight on Saturday, but it didn't charge. Took it back yesterday, tried to charge it overnight and this one didn't charge either. I did ask yesterday if I could plug it in at the store to check it and was told they didn't have any sockets. Reviews on Amazon report the same problem. https://www.amazon.co.uk/BLACK-DECKER-SVJ520BFS-GB-Cordless-Smart/product-reviews/B01GHAE0T8/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_hist_1?pageNumber=1&filterByStar=one_star Don't know whether to try a third one as it is a 70 mile round trip to return it which we will have done twice. The cost of getting there and back is making this less of a bargain.

alisonfitz

Thanks OP. Bought one today, easy to set up and works really well and sent off for the free speedy scrub mentioned above

Hemichromis

Just bought one then posted the deal before i found this. Seems like a good piece of kit.

Miss leading edit as it's not a prime only deal imho. But thanks for clarification on the way you want Amazon listings 😊

you have to spend over £20 to get free delivery if you don't have an Amazon prime membership as shown on the listing Pic added above from listing :) The non-prime price includes the delivery charge.

But 9.99 is the non prime price????

Thanks for sharing @patrickpldj - with Amazon deals we list the both the Prime and Non-prime price in the deal title if relevant so please don't edit out, thanks (y)

I'm sure I paid about a fiver for my angle grinder from Argos about 20 years ago, probably used it less than 10 times. Useful to have when you need one but you might as well get the cheapest one you can find the amount you'll use it and they all do the same thing don't they? ..I have seen a contraption that turns them into a mini chainsaw tho hahaha.

metal discs 3pk £1.29

Seems expensive to me. usually about £12 for a basic angle grinder. Discs about £5 tops at screwfix. range grinder

jonesinamillion

Decent price for a basic angle grinder but FFS make sure you know how to use one / mount disks / correct PPE etc.... these things can be extremely dangerous!

suck them up with straw you filthy beast.... ;)

dribspak

Cheap for what there are and I've tried a few different models and brands in the past. For 30 quid I'd rather blow the crumbs under the couch

FNEC

Your one has a more powerful motor I would think if its stating the bigger watts that the battery has to power, so you can lift bigger crumbs but i'd suspect for less time as the same battery is powering a bigger motor. Oh you do get smart tech too! Keep an eye on how much charge you have left.

miaas

What a fool you’ve made me feel lol yes absolutely, have just realised it’s to do with the battery pmsl So the version I bought is basically the same, just with a charging dock and a extra suck button :)

It seems that this is a scam to get people's personal details. I waited 10 days only to find that my "application" had been rejected and, guess what? The drill is now out of stock!

L.F.

Has anyone actually tried to buy this? You have to go through a (7-10 day) credit check even if you want to buy it with a credit card! Reminds me of trying to buy anything in the old USSR.

iamgun

That's not a hammer drill. Only for wood and steel.

johnf007

Hi I'm useless with drills. I have a corded Bosch, paid £30 for it. Will the 18v you've listed a link to be good enough for drilling into concrete walls??

steve350z

I would think not as masonry paint is quite thick unless you thinned it

If your happy to take the time for a quality finish, use rollers and brushes like any respectable decorator would to get the quality finish!
